Default Sony: Half of PS3 owners also have a PSP

http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/11/18/...so-have-a-psp/

According Capcom's vice president of strategic planning and business development Christian Svensson, Sony's data indicates that approximately 50% of PS3 owners are also PSP owners. Svensson made the comment on the official Capcom forums in a thread that was discussing the possibility of the newly launched adhocParty making it stateside. "An interesting note from Sony's data that they've been sharing with us ... about 50% of PS3 owners, also own a PSP." We are unsure of whether the data was collected from around the world or just in the US.

well ps3 owners, do you also own a psp?

I don't have a PSP. Why do I need one? I have an iPod touch. I have a DS though. Unless they do something amazing with the next PSP I won't be getting one anytime soon.

but either way yes i own a psp and it's awesome w/ the ps3. i love the remote play option and being able to play ps1 games on it.

I own a PSP and I love it! I'm just waiting for more good US games to be released before I play with it again.

I've had a PSP since launch. My brother also has both so can't argue with their figures I've never regretted buying either of them, they both get daily use, and I'd be a far more bored person if I didn't.

+1 So true. And the variety and graphics of games are so much better than the DS.

I like the DS more because I can play my original copy of Secret of Monkey Island on it with a touch screen. And Day of the Tentacle.

Plus I like Brain Age.

I don't have one, but would like to get one soon.

The fact that Remote Play can be used to activate your PS Eye sold me.

I think part of the reason the PSP is so common for PS3 owners is because of how well the two interact. Sure if I had a video Ipod and a DS already I probably wouldn't be too quick to grab one either - but since I don't, all the little extras add up to push me towards it.

And of course since Sony has already shown that the PS3-PSP interaction is a real part of their strategy (with all the things already done), I'm even more encouraged to see how they expand it in the future.

Damn,... I don't have one

I kind of want one. I don't want to be buying games for it or UMD videos but it does all kinds of neat stuff even if you never play games with it. (Kind of like the PS3 actually.)

My wife bought my an ipod for my B-day which is in a few days and I couldn't talk her out of it. She wants docking stations about the house so that anyone in the family can just pop in there own music. I would rather have had a PSP for the GPS stuff and lots of other neat features but... It's not quite the standard that the ipod is.

I've had a PSP twice because I thought that I would like it.....but no! it kinda serves no purpose to me! Not when I have a 47" and a PS3! And if i travel anywhere, I'm the one driving so.....still no point!

I used my PSP a lot when I 1st purchased it, but now I'm going to sell it and wait for a version that has bluetooth capability so it can connect with my PS3 a little better....

connecting with my PS3 is a chore...
