It's been a while since I fired it up but I believe all the games are 60fps regardless of resolution.

*edit* yup they are

https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news/mcc-update

Quote:
If you own an Xbox One X and a compatible TV you’re in for a real treat – MCC has received visual enhancements to deliver the entire Master Chief saga up to 4K UHD and HDR. And of course, each of the titles in MCC already run at 60FPS delivering what truly is the definitive way to experience the classic Halo collection.

A new HDR and SDR video settings option has been added to the game to provide fine-tuning and calibration options to ensure MCC looks as good as possible across a variety of different hardware setups and personal preferences
I gotta say, the start of CE when you're in the dark tunnels getting to the escape pods and you see the grunts weapons and other features in HDR was really great.

I never cared one bit for ODST originally but played through it a couple months ago with this patch and it's now one of my favorite games.

It's tempting me to get an X for this then. I would love to play through it with HDR.

Looks like Reach will be released as well.

https://www.ign.com/articles/2019/03...39c3747d00149c

Quote:
During Inside Xbox, it was confirmed that Halo: Reach will be headed to Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One and PC.

This reveal comes alongside the news that Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which originally released in 2014 for Xbox One, will finally make it way to PC.

On Xbox One, Halo: Reach's multiplayer will be included for all owners for The Master Chief Collection, while the campaign and Firefight mode will be available for purchase. For Xbox Games Pass subscribers, all of Halo Reach will be available for free.

Halo: Reach on PC will arrive as one package and will be the first game released for PC on Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The rest of the titles will be released one-by-one in chronological order.

Halo: Reach was originally released on Xbox 360 in 2010 and was the final game that developed by Bungie before they moved on to create such titles as Destiny 1 and 2.

Instead of controlling Master Chief, Reach had players assume the role Nobel Six of "Noble Team" and is a tragic prequel of sorts to the Halo franchise.

In our review of Halo: Reach, we said "It's a fitting end to Bungie's involvement with the franchise, one that both references the past and injects new life into a tried and true formula."

Halo: Reach joins Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 4, and Halo: ODST.

Now, Xbox and PC players will have a chance to play Halo: Reach and The Master Chief Collection, and prepare for the release of Halo: Infinite, which is said to be a "spiritual reboot" for the franchise.

Fantastic news. I'm assuming it will enhanced with 60FPS and HDR?

Reach is my favorite competitive Halo game. Spent more time on it than Halo 3, 4, and 5 combined according to my stats.

The other great news is that they’re releasing it on both Windows Store and Steam.

It took them until a couple of months ago to get the One version into shape. I have to guess that had a lot to do with it. A lot of the team was still on the One version and once they got that in shape they split duties between PC MCC and Infinite. Once the PC MCC is out it should be all hands on Infinite.

The good news is that we're getting Halo on PC again and all of it. The better news is that I just finished a quick HD gaming/media PC build yesterday and I am just waiting for the GeForce 1650 TI to launch, so I can put one in there to replace the 1050 TI that I have.

So it appears Reach will come to the Xbox version to, but at cost for the campaign which is what I care about. I'll probably wait until I get upgrade to an X, or maybe until next gen, as I do want to play these in HDR at some point.

It had an awful launch in 2014 (to the point where I wanted to through my XB1 out of the window) but they've improved it dramatically since.

Different studios worked on the different parts of the whole collection, and different engines were used, so the code-base was completely fractured and filled with bugs. The best way to do a project like MCC is with a single game engine, so everything just works and bugs are easy to deal with.

Its crazy that it took 4.5 years to fix though. I thought this was fixxed within a year
