I think most everything there is in one of their multi-feature DVD releases here.

They also, less often, mention something via their YouTube page in the form of a clip/trailer or, rarely, respond to a Facebook question.

I emailed Mill Creek and they told me it was the unrated director's cut. Plus, that was the only version ever released on home video, wasn't it?

Edit: NVM I see the differences in the above link. Damnit.

As far as differences go... these seem minor.

Not defending it... but DeepDiscount has the 2-pack of Color of Night/Playing God for $5.36 right now... and that will add nicely to another item to make their $25 minimum for free shipping... so I'm inclined to go ahead and bite since apparently the completely unrated uncut edition hasn't ever had a US release anyway.

Anyone see a BDInfo scan for the Color Of Night/Playing God double feature?

Everyone should be aware that Color Of Night is practically an upscaled SD transfer. Playing God is a true HD transfer, maybe a bit old but very presentable.

Thanks for the info. Did you end up finding a BDInfo scan for it?

No, this is from personal experience. Playing God looks state-of-the-art in comparison. The video bitrates for Color Of Night probably average around 15-16 Mbps.

The War at Home was mixed and shown theatrically in 5.1 and that track was on the DVD release.

Amazon now has Mill Creek attached to a few of the original Disney DVD releases of some titles. So, probable confirmation of the following being Mill Creek licensed titles based on that.

Just Visiting
Kundun
My Science Project
Scarlet Letter, The
Washington Square

Edit. My Boyfriend's Back also.

If JOURNEY OF NATTY GANN or CAN'T BUY ME LOVE were to be re-released on Blu, would it be through Mill Creek?

This seems to be a theme with these Mill Creek releases. I was pleasantly surprised Replacement Killers is also the theater cut despite the cover claiming "Extended Cut" (hate studio extensions). I'm willing to bet Hollowman isn't the unrated cut either. I think they are just recycling the cover art from the solo blu-rays or dvds, but using new transfers for most of the actual films. RK looked very good, so did Truth or Consequences and Happy Birthday to Me.

At least up to now, Mill Creek has only licensed Hollywood Pictures and Touchstone Pictures releases. Can't Buy Me Love is Touchstone Pictures and The Journey of Natty Gann is Walt Disney Pictures.

Whether or not Can't Buy Me Love might come direct from Disney or be a future possibility to come from Mill Creek is anyone's guess. I'd love to see a The Journey of Natty Gann release, amongst many others, also.

The combo of Disney and Mill Creek have made steady progress with the Hollywood / Touchstone catalog but the Disney live action catalog, outside of the higher profile titles, has a long way to go.

Adam4Rizzel's Disney Checklist thread might interest you also if you haven't yet checked it out.

I picked up HM double pack. I'll have to check it out and see if its the cut. I see to remember the only big difference was the attack on Rhona Mitra was a bit longer??

My Science Project is in desperate need of an upgrade! It is my only remaining non-anamorphic DVD.

I'd love a Blu-ray!

Now I must go and race some electricity

That was the most noticeable addition (I say that as if I've seen the DC, I haven't), but here's everything to look for:
http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=4544

I never bothered with the old bd as all this stuff was just the deleted scenes from the first dvd thrown back in. Plus I do not believe this a "Director's Cut" at all, it should say "Extended Edition" like all the other Sony cash grabs. How is this the DC with no commentary, while the commentary on the theater dvd doesn't even mention a DC (IIRC)? Busted!
