Hisense partnered with Value Electronics for the early launch of their three new UST projector systems.
I am most excited about the PX1-PRO 4K HDR RGB Triple Laser UST Projector that has a lens that supports projecting images from 90" to 130" so you can select the screen and image size that best matches you current and future-proofs you for your next room change or just to upgrade to a larger screen whenever you like. I just built our PX1-PRO webpage, which also has the .pdf spec. sheet with all of the specifications and features. New enhancements in addition to the variable focus lens the PX1-PRO has deeper blacks and improved HDR performance. Hisense's new PX1-PRO is launching at the sale price os $3,499, which includes Nationwide shipping and we have 5 exclusive bundle deals for including your choice of UST/ARL screens or one of Panasonic's HDR Optimizer BE players/Smart Streaming devices. |

Curious as to how does it compare to L9G? Looks like this one has lower brightness and promises better contrast but how it is in real world?

You said it perfectly, Hisense's new PX1-PRO has deeper blacks and better low luminance detail.
One of the methods employed to lower the black floor was to lower the peak luminance output so the PX1-PRO's three lasers (RGB) could use their luminance range to start it's projected images tonal range lower hence delivering deeper blacks with more shadow details. With all this said, unless you are not happy with the L9G blacks, I'm not recommending you change your Hisense L9G for the PX1-PRO. The PX1-PRO is designed for moderate to low luminance viewing, the L9G can perform better in higher ambient light. I gave one of our PX1-PRO UST projectors to the SpareChange YouTube channel owner, Shane who will be doing his unboxing, set-up and 1st impressions video. I hope it goes up tonight, but more likely tomorrow, Jan. 1, 2022. |

Are there calibration numbers for the contrast and black level?

So much of the contrast measurements and the Minimum Luminance Level. MLL is dependent on the screen fabric, and the ambient light in the room. So it's difficult to get honest and accurate contrast ratio and MLL specifications.
Hisense's new PX1-PRO and Samsung's LSP9T have the best blacks when compared to all UST projections systems. Just yesterday and for the next 10 days Hisense has the 100" and 120" flagship L9G on sale. Here's the list of all Hisense UST projector system Super Bowl Promotional offers that are available through Value Electronics. ![]() |
