I haven't checked in on your build for a bit... coming along nicely. That sub looks impressive, I have to go check out the spec's on it... only downside to theatre pics is not seeing pics out your window, just love that view.

working on the lawns at the moment, friggin huge job. Should improve the views a tad rather than mud filled crap.

Does anyone have any suggestions on comparative amps to Emotia with possibly a cheaper price?

There doesn't seem to be any cheaper good option in NZ from my research. For my needs they were the best option. I was only seriously looking at Marantz and Emotiva as even Rotel is pricey here.
I got a good deal on Emotiva as part of a house lot of other appliances so it worked out well.

The main competitors in the USA seem to be Outlaw and Parasound. You could also try Monolith from Monoprice but freight and returns would be painful.

Did you go through Rapalloav for Emotiva?

No. My local 100% ordered it in. I think it was through the old distributor. PM for more details.

BasX range is fine for my purposes but I may go with their XPA range for fronts at some point. I like the idea of balanced connections but neither my reciever or the BasX range supports that. Depends if thats important to you. Noise floor is also a bit lower on the XPA range but unsure if I would notice a difference.
