Has anyone been able to get Dolby Atmos with MoviesAnywhere when using 1080P? The MA techs keep telling me that it doesn’t matter what the video output is as long as you have an audio set up capable for Atmos. Well, I’m using an AppleTV 4K connected to a Denon AVR x3600h which then connects to a 1080p TV. The Dolby Atmos works fine using Apple TV+, iTunes library, Netflix and Disney+.
I’m already aware that VUDU does not stream Atmos unless it detects a 4K TV, so wondering if the MoviesAnywhere tech people are just clueless and don’t realize it won’t stream Atmos without 4K similar to VUDU. They swear that you do not need a 4K TV, but it’s the only streaming service that the Apple TV4K is not outputting in Atmos that supposedly is able to. |
