Besides the others I mentioned a few posts above, I think I realized I have a comic that "should" be worth more than that Batman Adventures issue but probably isn't just due to Harley mania- Batman # 251, The Joker's Five-Way Revenge. It's in pretty good shape, I got it for $12 about 13 years ago. It wasn't collected anywhere and I just wanted to own it, now it seems to have gone up.

I have all of Harley Quinn's appearance from 1993-2001 or so just because I liked the character at the time and got the "Adventures" issues and her solo series- and absolutely no one else cared. Now, fifteen years later, people are paying through the roof for those comics that lined quarter bins and were used as doorstops? I don't get it. I'd much rather have a bona-fide classic like Amazing Spider-Man # 122 or Giant Size X-Men # 1.

Mistakes happen, I just wish I hadn't made "that" mistake years ago.
I remember seeing ads for TWD before the first issue came out. I thought something along the lines of "that looks like zombies in a western" and promptly put it out of my mind.

Knowing what #1 is worth now, and that I COULD have bought a few...I choose not to think about it too much.

As for my most valuable comic...it WAS New Mutants 98, but I sold it recently thanks to the awesome movie! It'll probably never be worth that much again.

How much did you sell it for?

I bought my Walking Dead #1 from my comic shop when it was released, just thinking it looked cool. Kept it near mint, and sold it on eBay two years ago for $1,025

I never had it graded, just took lots of photos.

The auction, while over, should still be viewable for a little while.

Nice!

I snagged a CGC 9.6 copy on eBay a few years ago, just can't bring myself to sell it...

How much would a Batman Adventures #12 w/newsstand barcode go for? (Let's say it's a 9.4, ungraded) Is there a reliable online comic price guide like a digital version of Wizard or Overstreet?

And awongus, if you see this how much did you pay for your 9.6 Deadpool issue?

Just curious where/how do you all figure the value of your comics? I stopped collecting years ago and have been selling off my collection on ebay. I usually look them up on mycomicshop and sold listing on ebay then price them a little below the average cause I'm looking to get rid of them not get top dollar. Just wondering if there is a beeter way to assign value.

As for my most valuables that I haven't sold yet I'd say Silver Surfer #44 the first appearance of the Infinity Gauntlet. In the past year or so I've sold New Mutants 98 (first Deadpool) and Batman : Harley Quinn (first in continuity Harley Quinn) among others.

Well, I tend to buy an Overstreet annual every year to read all the market reports and generally see what things are priced at. I use their prices simply to see what something may be worth in terms of ballpark.

But in general, I do what you do - I look on "sold" items on ebay, plus I like looking up current auctions to see what has the most bids, to see what may be hot at the moment (and if I have it).

My comic shop also has a couple walls worth of books hanging and I love seeing their prices since they have limited wall space. So they tend to price things at a level they know will sell...and sell they do, more often than not.

Ebay also relies heavily on good photos. You can have an Action Comics #1 and if buyer's can't look at it properly enough, it isn't going to make you the cash it could have with better image accompaniment.

lol We allowed to sell or trade comics on this forum? Other things are sold and traded for. Would love to know what else you're looking to ditch, as I'm always looking for particular books and runs.

I'm not sure really. I don't track prices. But of old comics the ones I think may be worth something are first prints of Killing Joke, The Dark Knight Returns set. Some of the full Epic Akira run might have some value. I mainly buy omnibus and absolutes now. And some of the out of print ones of those have quite a bit of value. I ended up with two copies of the Death of Captain America omnibus. Too hard selling them in Australia though.

I have Gambit's first appearance signed by Chris Claremont. Probably my most valuable.

New Teen Titans #2, first appearance of Deathstroke. Bought it when it hit rock bottom prices a few years back for $20. It has only gone up since then.
