Lmao!

Sorry that it took me a bit to reply. No, I own the original that introduces the famous wallcrawler. Here's a pic of it when I first got it back in 2009. I don't have a more recent picture of it. Maybe I should take one. Yes, it's not in the best of shape, but it's still great to look at and it's still an original copy.

Wow! How much did you pay for it? Where did you find it at? (If you don't mind me asking) Great acquisition!

I actually bought it on eBay. I forgot how I found it, but I don't think the person knew what they had when they listed it. Bidders were driving up the price, but I ended up winning it for $1,700.00.

Expensive, but I had the money at the time and have always wanted a copy. Maybe I overpaid given its condition (although it is complete with all pages and the cover is still held on by original staples), but I'm happy with it!

I'd have to say it's either my New Mutants #98, CBCS 9.8 or my Amazing Spider-Man #700 Steve Ditko Variant, CBCS 9.8.

I just picked up a copy of Saga #1 first print as that is the only one I was missing from my set.

I was in Indianapolis on business, and decided to stop by a comic shop there. They had Saga #1 displayed on the wall, and I checked it out. I was going to be back in two weeks, so I decided if it was still there I would bite the bullet and grab it. I showed up 2 weeks later, and there it was on the wall, so I saw it as a sign and bought it. It is the most I've ever spent on a single comic ($150), but I really enjoy the series, which is probably one of my favorite ever, and figured it would be cool to have it. I will most likely end up getting it graded in the next month or so just to protect it, and it looks like it might be a 9.6 as there is some very, very slight damage to the lower spine. I don't intend to ever sell it though, so not to worried about that.

Just wanted to post my most expensive/most paid for comic that I recently procured.

There's nothing like the feeling of finally finishing off a complete run by finding the last, needed issue.

I have a few copies of that book as well, as I have been getting Saga since it began and will probably submit them for grading to CBCS once their new label is unveiled. I have been sitting on the grading/slabbing fence for too long but decided I would go with CBCS. My plan is to send it in to be pressed first, something you may want to consider as that could possibly make it grade higher. If you go with CBCS their official presser is CFP, Pete the owner I heard is a really nice guy and does nice work and he also drives all the books once they are pressed to CBCS directly since he lives fairly close to them. There is also CGC but I am unsure if they have an official presser.

Also you may have read but the latest issue of Saga has been postponed a week, it was supposed to be released this coming Wednesday but there was a printing error which led to the delay. As the article pointed out that book was on time each month since it was released this is technically the first time the book has been late. http://www.newsarama.com/32492-saga-...ing-error.html

I used to have Uncanny X-Men issues 194-544 single issue run. Nothing missing. I recently sold it for an astonishing low price.

Now my most valuable comic is Swamp Thing #37 (first appearance of Constantine) that I found for .25 at a book warehouse sale.

After that it would be my signed Hellboy graphic novels/comics by Mike Mignola.

Mine is probably this CGC 9.8 of Valiant's original Harbinger series a very tough book to get in this grade.

I need a Harbinger #1 myself, actually...non-graded preferred. I think it may be the only key Valiant that I'm missing.

Seeing these early Valiants sure brings back memories when I was working for Diamond Comics and the first Valiant titles rolled off the presses and into the warehouse. I loved them and then Unity happened and everyone went nuts for the earlier back issues, and then a few years later they pretty much were sitting in boxes in comic stores untouched or in the quarter bin. Now everyone is on a mad tear to find them again. I wish I had kept mine, the only ones I think I saved were the Solar Man of the Atom #1 and #10 issues that I had Jim Shooter sign when he came out here on a promotional tour.

Do they all have coupons still intact? I remember that being such a big deal, I think there were tipped in coupons for the first x amount of issues, I think it was the first six issues and then a person could send them in for a copy of Harbinger #0 I believe. I just remember not wanting to remove the coupons from my issues.

I only collect comics for reading purposes. I don't collect for value. But the only comic I have of value is the first appearance of the modern day Guardians of the Galaxy (an Annihilation Conquest book). Not worth much though, but I did buy it for a buck.
