Hey, I'd be down. I'm really just looking for the BOX, not the discs themselves.

So can I still buy the Blu Ray volumes online easily? Think CDJapan was out of the first one at least.

Go to Amazon Japan. I'm sure you can at least get them from external sellers, and then send them to a forwarder such as Tenso.

If you don't mind "used" (what the Japanese cosider used is almost mint brand new IMO) I say go with Mandrake
https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/...witch+academia

Dollar back up against the yen too, almost 114

Apologies if this was answered; A question for importers, how are the English subs? Different from the ones on Netflix? When music plays (final episode) do they translate that as well as dialogue?

The subs are different than those on Netflix... and are WAY better! The Netflix subs are more along the lines of "dubtitles" (or subs based off of the dialogue in the English dub rather than a translation of the Japanese dialogue), though aren't 100% identical to the dub. It's like Durarara in that regard- in how Netflix did them. The translation is more competently worded, is less "childish" in phrasing, and gives more detail than Netflix's own translation.

I personally hope that Netflix does release this & the 2 movies as well.
Preferably not via Aniplex of America.

Aniplex would be preferable than FAILimation, though I doubt they (Aniplex) wouldn't license it due to Toho being the license holder in Japan.

Also, Netflix themselves wouldn't be releasing it on Blu-ray- a distributor here would have to license it from Japan- Netflix only has streaming rights.

Little Witch Academia VR Game Through Kickstarter

Quote:
Triggerís anime series Little Witch Academia is getting a brand-new VR game called Little Witch Academia: VR Broom Racing where youíll get to fly around with Akko and her friends.

The game is being developed by Univrs, and itíll have characters from the series flying on brooms and casting magic while racing. It is being made with Univrsí motion sickness preventative measure in order to make it the best flight experience.

The game will be funded through a crowdfunding campaign that starts on July 4, 2019 via Kickstarter. The game will also be available to try out at Anime Expo 2019 from July 4 through July 7, 2019, where director Junichi Yamamoto will make an appearance.

Little Witch Academia: VR Broom Racing is expected to launch in Spring 2020. Its platforms were not announced. The gameís official website has an English language option, but so far it only has an introduction to the game and series.

That looks utterly awful, and graphically nothing really like LWA.

This just seems to be a cheap cash in.

Just about all anime video games are that.

The moment when you realize that the Little Witch Academia Specials have left Netflix and the Steam version of the videogame (so only the PS4 version remains) has also left and yet we still donít have anything from the series on Blu-ray or even DVD for that matter.

I do!

[Show spoiler]

But yeah, it sucks not to have any physical media release for LWA accessible here at all, even after all this time... getting to be too many decent anime titles in this same situation anymore, especially with all these exclusive titles for the big media outlets, who are just too big for anime in general.

Got mine while I was in Japan in January this year.
