Finished watching both Nanoha movies and have to say that I was impressed. Great animation and action scenes. Similar to the Madoka series in showing the struggles of being a magical girl.

Nice pickups, man!

Be patient with Another. It ends up well and bloody, but it isn't until the end of episode 3 that it picks up its pace. Kind of drags around this mystery with some "really?!" interruptions, but episode 4 and all really start to go deeper in a more gripping pace.

H.O.T.D is just great fun all around. Some say the fan service is there gratuitously, but besides the OVA (not included on the set; out 11/26 separately), I looked at it as satire. The way they introduce the nurse by her waking up from sleeping on her own tits, and "Matrix Tits", was too comical to NOT be intentional, I think.

Haven't seen the other two yet, but World God Only Knows is at the top of my hit list this holiday season from DVD Planet or RightStuf.

I would be one of those people. Zombie, zombie, jiggling boob shot, kill zombie, kill zombie, crotch shot; but the same claim can be made for shows I actually enjoy like Sekirei.

Yeah. I just took HOTD as satire because of how they used it, especially with those two mentioned scenes.

I've only got 7 of those so far, but I'm getting ready to make another purchase of 5-6 more titles in December once Mononoke and Cat Returns are released.
I want to get those two plus Pom Poko, Laputa, Whispers, and maybe Arrietty...

Is that the S.A.V.E. version of Phantom: Requiem of the Phantom? It doesn't look like it has the green spine bar I thought was permanently part of the cover art now.

Yes, it actually is the S.A.V.E. version - I just switched the reversible cover around to the other side... I understand many of the S.A.V.E. editions have reversible covers so you can remove the ugly green spine from view - but I've not really seen anyone take pics of them that way...

RWBY comes in a very slick, black BD case. I wish more titles would use it.

Eh, DVD cases are already black - I see no attraction to black Blu-ray cases at all, even if they are a bit glossier. Then it would be an even worse nightmare trying to find Blu-rays on the shelves at Best Buy if all the cases were black, since they mix up all their DVDs and Blus together...

If anything, it's at least suitable for the coverart used. Just like the normal Blue colored case of that Phantom series is suitable for the coverart.

Yes, for this release with the black-background cover sheet, the glossy black case looks great with it - I'm just saying I wouldn't want to have them change over to black cases for all Blu-rays... I have no issue with random releases using different translucent-colored cases though, I've seen green, pink, red blu-ray cases already and solid white too...
