The digi releases were really nice, I loved those back in the day. They took up so much space though.

Ye, which is one of the main reasons the person I bought them off was selling them. He wanted money towards LOTGH, and plans to buy the repackaged versions later.

My favorite part of the digipak DVD sets is that they show the Shikon Jewel slowly being reformed on their spines.

That's cool. I just assumed they were cut due to space.

Audios: Spanish (from Spain, castillian), catalan and japanese.
Subs: Spanish.

Why cant post link for pictures?

I want to show proofs that are authentic remastered but the moderation deletes my screenshots links, on the other pages there are links from youtube and other websites and they have not deleted it, it does not seem fair.

I'm from Spain and I have those bluray, and I have screenshots of Bluray.

Anti-bot thing. You need a certain number of posts I believe to be able to post links.

Also I highly doubt they are a rescan of the original film reels. The fact the Japan doesn't have such a thing, but Spain would is the main reason I'd doubt it.

Especially with how often this publisher releases BD "remasters" of stuff that are just poor upscales.

The videos they've posted lack the sharpness I'd expect from a rescan of a cel produced anime.

Youtube videos are not proof of anything (the youtube encoding is a shit), in addition the OP and ED has something less quality than the chapter itself, finally, this remastered is from at least 2013, when some Japanese channels broadcast the anime remastered in HD , for example in Kids Station, I also have a link that proves that, when I am allowed to put links I will give proofs of everything.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6kvwAog4d0

First, the YouTube video is horribly encoded, so it is not a sample of the real quality of that broadcast, but it serves to show that this broadcast existed. Second, it also shows that in the first broadcast it had even the original opening 1 and that the change was made later. Finally if you look closely at the YouTube video you will see that it has the logo erased with a filter but that there is still a trace on the lower right side, the logo is from Kids Station.

As seen in the screenshots of the Bluray, it is an authentic remastered.

Not sure if it was fully remastered, but either way it looks nice.

Those screenshots look so nice. I'd pay whatever Viz asked if they'd go ahead and put something similar in quality out. $50-60 a set, maybe in the same style as Sailor Moon?

Lool @InuYashaCrusade and thanks for me hehe? Just kidding.

For me if it is a true remastered, and more if you compare it with Japanese DVDs, that is, only until chapter 98 is animated with cels, then are digital animation in 4:3, but still need to know if it would be 480i or if it was a intermediate resolution between 1080p and 480p, maybe 540p or 720p? I do not rule it out, there are other animes of that time animated in 720p.

It isn't a rescan. It's just an upscale, which some would call "digitally remastered" aka a fancy upscale with a few filter effects to hide issues.

I can spot interlace artefacts, which you get when you make a interlaced source into a progressive source.

I honestly wouldn't give money for an upscale like this. I'd take a SDonBD offer over video artefacts, and from what I can see some bad dark colour compression in the dark scenes.

Any specific shots? (I'm familiar with most artifacts, but didn't notice any interlacing side-effects)

It does look nicer than the Viz DVDs. but I'll take another look (at those shots) and see if my opinion on this BD changes.

EDIT: Never mind, I looked at Shot 1 again and saw some aliasing on Kagome's leg.
