Do we know if it will just be the same discs as the individual releases?
I already have Touchez Pas Au Grisbi and I want the 4K of Casque d'Or so at £50 it would make more sense for me to buy the individual releases of the remaining titles, unless this set contains something exclusive (new extras, new restorations) besides the post cards which I can live without.

I would have snapped up any of these as individual releases if they'd popped up at decent bargain prices. Thrilled for this set. I have the other five sets in this series and this one will have no issues rubbing shoulders with the others. In fact the pre-Truffaut, pre-Godard era in French cinema is probably of more interest to me.

This title will be released on November 28, 2022.

I've got several of these on old Criterion DVDs, and the single disc release of Edward & Caroline, but this set sounds worth the upgrade.

Well that's annoying, I already have all five individually.

Slightly annoying this new trend of a box set and an individual release of one of the films in 4K, The Seventh Seal, now Wings of Desire and Casque D'or. Could these companies not do a version replacing these films with the 4K version in the set?

Due to my comparative ignorance of French cinema bar about 5 or 6 directors, I initially wondered why Studio Canal were releasing Ted Danson's sitcom. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Looks interesting though.

I get what you mean, I’d rather settle for a lesser format within a boxset than having to buy the same film twice just so I can have the UHD. That’s my feeling with Oldboy and the Vengeance Trilogy too (though maybe the other two films will be upgraded), and also Psycho Legacy. At least Arrow went for a partial dual format with Children of the Corn and Ju-on. At least The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, Breathless and Le cercle rouge were released years after the boxsets and have new extras, giving good reasons for buying outside the boxset which has an older master.

Casque d’Or is headed back to UK cinemas on 25th November, but I’ll probably skip that knowing the UHD and boxset are on the horizon.

Same, but I'm less annoyed as it looks like these will be the same discs repackaged, and I quite like the artwork on the individual releases.

The extras are all identical, other than the new art cards and possibly the extras on Casque D'Or (which may overlap with new extras on the new 4K?)

Edit: The extras listed on the Caque D'Or disc in the image don't match the extras in the description below the image, but do match the extras on the exisitng disc.

I thought the essential episodes of my favourite sitcom were finally coming to Blu-ray! I am disappointed!

Anyone received a set yet? What do you make of it? I haven't ordered it yet.

By the way, the German four film set (lacking Falbalas) is currently just 29,99 € if ordered directly from Plaion: https://shop.plaionpictures.com/jacq...ion-4-blu-rays

English subtitles seem to be included.

Hell yeah, great to see another SC boxset, shame it doesn't come with a book like the others but I'm definitely grabbing this when I can.

Clouzot next, please. But which titles? Well-known? Lesser-seen? Good mix?
