UK Slipcover Thread

I was pretty angry when my copy of The Dark Knight 2 Disc Special Edition came without a slip cover, as I ordered it with a slip cover from eBay, but the seller didn't send me the clip cover. I would hate to buy it again just for the slip cover, but it looks like that's what I am going to have to do.

But anyway, I think the Terminator Salvation slip cover is amazing. I also love the Predator 2 cover, even if the movie isn't all that good.

Do you mean the US T4 slipcase? The UK one seems pretty standard to me

Oh, and I don't recall Batman Begins having a slip cover, can anyone confirm this and where you can buy it with a slip cover?

The American version. It's pretty sweet in my opinion. I only imported that and the first Terminator version from America.

I don't remember Batman Begins with a slipcover myself. There was a limited edition that came in a box with artcards and a lenticular fascia thing, rather than with a slipcover. Play.com did it with a free Batman USB stick.

Oh yeah, I remember that, it must of been that. Although I don't like box set's for individual movies. Don't know why.

I saw that too, it was £14.99, but I just got the standard version for £8.99 from Blockbuster.

I was quite disappointed not to get The Dark Knight with the slipcover, though I didn't exactly buy it immediately upon release, so my own fault. They seem to be quite rare, but I continue to search for one mint.

I saw that today and was tempted to buy it, but I didn't think the film itself was worth the £14.99 price tag. It is a cool slip, though.

I find it pretty ridiculous that there's now at least 4 different editions of the 2012 release, especially considering what a mediocre film it is. Seriously, would anyone collect all 4 of these?:

Standard Slipcover (monk and embossed title)
Play.com Exclusive Slipcover (disaster scene)
HMV Exlusive Steelbook (black with embossed title)
Morrisons Exclusive Lenticular/Holographic Slipcover (moving disaster scene, not the same as shown on play exclusive)

Pretty ridiculous! I'm all for nice slipcovers, but one or two of the same film is enough!

Bought Dumbo, Toy Story, Toy Story 2... NONE of them have slipcover

Seriously? That's TERRIBLE! I'm definitely pre-ordering from HMV from now on for ones I want with slips.

I was incredibly lucky, I knew beforehand that the 241 Disney Deal was coming up so I got Toy Story 1 and 2, Dumbo and Snow White for the equivalent of £6 each (bought 'em early when they were £12), an only Snow White came without a slip, which was the only one I wasn't fussed about anyway!

I'm the only person I know with a Dumbo slipcover actually...although I believe HMV are still shipping them.

I remember about 2 years ago my local blockbuster had Begins with slips, but I had the LE set so wasn't bothered, been looking for it ever since, no luck though!

The Men Who Stare At Goats has a slipcover. It's one of those ones which doesn't cover the top part - I only have Law Abiding Citizen like it, but this seems fairly routine with Momentum?
