If you go to a lot of HMV's you can see the timeline of products from large digipacks to a small slipcase with slimcases it's a pain sometimes as people like different things.
Wish i could find the post if this forum or another of the deal as would have been good to know what others got when they got there one,as this was reduced by play to 7.99 which is half the current price.must have been a few folk that got this set as was a bargain at that price for the 3 movies and its currently on there site at double the price or its normal price.

Unconfirmed: Downton Abbey S1

(06/12/10)

Inception
Alice In Wonderland (2010) 3D
Shrek: The Whole Story
Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue

Unconfirmed: Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue - HMV Exclusive
I can confirm that Tinker Bell HMV Exclusive does have a slip, as I got it, which inside is just the Double Play edition with the slip. And Downton Abbey also has a slip, I go into HMV almost every day after working right next door to it and I see it a lot. Never seen the show and not really interested, but it's pretty on the eyes.

Is the Tinker Bell HMV Exclusive sleeve now OOP? As I cant find it anymore on the HMV website.
It seemed to have disappeared quite quickly, as I didnt think it would've been that popular, either that or they didnt make many of them.

How likely do you think it is I'd get slipcovers with Se7en and/or The Exorcist if I bought them from Play now?

Certain. I haven't seen either without their slipcovers yet. I'd order them from Amazon though (same price), if you want them to arrive in pristine condition.

Cheers, I've edited it. I thought they would have.

Anyone know if 'A Single Man' ever came with a slip? I've never seen it with one.

I forgot to mention I finally had my Fringe season 1 from my brother, slip included. Were there different versions of this slip?

Yes, they both have the same image (the leaf and the frog and whatever), but the earlier version was shiny and the version available now is matte (not remotely shiny).

Thanks I new someone had a request for a shiny Fringe slip, so your post answered my question twice lol. I haven't seen anything of the Fringe apart from the pilot and I'm looking forward to get into it but at the moment I'm going through my 24 DVD's.

On a side note did The Sarah Connor Chronicles S1 have a shiny slip like the DVD as well? I have both and it seems odd that the BD would have a matte cover unless like Fringe it had a shiny one for a limited run.

lol no problem. I'm not 100% certain about the Sarah Connor Chronicles, although I'm sure I remember seeing a YouTube video where a guy had season 1 and it had a shiny aspect to it (was it her cheek or something?). I've never seen just a matte version of it, so that's new to me!

Also I've had Fringe S1 for about 6 months and I still haven't got around to watching it! I'm hoping to start soon.

Yeah the DVD had Summer Glau's cheek (settle down lol...) exposed and was metallic, S2 her back was exposed. By matte I meant non-metallic but still glossy, I'll have to use the term non-metallic to avoid some confusion and not matte like the Casino Royale Deluxe case.

Yeah, I thought the blu ray slipcover had the same metal cheek (I was gonna put facial cheek, lol) effect? Or are you saying you have a copy and it has no metal cheekiness at all?

My BD slip of TSCC S1 is 100% metal free.

It's difficult to tell but the darker DVD is metallic and the shiny metallic BD one isn't.

Ah I see, well I'm not sure, perhaps there ARE two different versions - like I said, I'm sure I've seen a metalic effect blu ray somewhere, but maybe I'm wrong.
