Just received Gundam X Vol. 2, and am pleased to report that I now have EVERY Gundam title released in North America that I give a crap about!

This includes everything from the UC timeline plus G, Wing, Turn A, X and IBO - there are some titles I simply don't like [Seed and 00] and some that I just don't care about [Build Divers] but I now have every title I care to own.

There are a couple of 'oddities' not released on BD that I own on DVD, such as the horrible live action movie G-Saviour; I'd pick those up on BD if they were ever released, but I'm not holding my breath.

I now consider my personal Gundam library COMPLETE! Anyone else in he same boat?

00, Seed and Build Fighters are the best Gundams.

Okay, obviously not Seed But the other two...

Gundam is my favorite franchise. I have every North American release thus far, but probably won't ever consider my collection complete.

I'll feel close if we ever catch up to Japan's releases minus maybe the most recent one or two, but there's always more coming.

That's what is so great about the Gundam franchise - there's something for everyone! I personally didn't connect with Seed, 00, Build Divers or AGE, but I'm glad they exist for the folks who dig them.

My sweet spot is the early UC era - I just love the look and feel of the world. Later UC stuff starts to lose me a bit, but I still love that it's such a rich, sprawling timeline.

Wing is not good, but has some nostalgic appeal, cool music and neat MS designs. I was already an adult when it aired on Toonami, it reminds me of a enjoyable, freewheeling time in my life.

G is just bonkers fun, Turn A is probably my favorite AU [and I guess qualifies as part of the UC timeline?], and X is... well, I'm still trying to decide. Not really that into IBO to be honest, but I like that the mecha designs feel the least like traditional Gundam designs as far as the overall aesthetics [they kinda resemble Eva units in Gundam cosplay].

If they'd release the SD Gundam shorts from the late 80s / early 90s I'd be a happy camper, but I don't imagine that will ever happen outside of Japan. Still, stranger things have happened!

The gundam series I am most mixed on is probably iron blood orphans. I loved the first season but I kind of hated the second season.

Saw it on Toonami. Thought it was okay. It's the only one I haven't bought yet.

So I get this message today from Rightstuf saying that if I buy some book called Awakening I can put in a code and get 50% off any Gundam BDs I buy with it.

I add the G Gundam box set, it's apparently not eligible. So I add Gundam X, those aren't eligible either. I put in Wing, and they will NOT honor 50% off as Wing went from $56 to $37 while Endless Waltz went from $44 to $30. I had no idea they were charging so much for EW to begin with as even $30 is too much for a single movie/OVA.

Suffice to say, this sale is a joke as I already own pretty much everything else.

Endless Waltz includes the Operation Meteor OVA too. So you're getting 7 OVA episodes and a movie on 4 discs for the price.
The sale is 50% off the MSRP, not the already discounted price.

The quick sale was intended for casual or new Gundam fans who want to taste a little more Gundam, in order to move the old Gundam releases that hardcore Gundam fans already own, as the stronger fans tend to buy before or at release and during the annual Everything Gundam sales.

I thought the OM OVA's were exclusive to the Ultra Edition. Store page doesn't mention them.

Yeah it does.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz contains both the OVA and Movie versions of Endless Waltz (English/Japanese Audio) as well as the never before released Gundam Wing: Operation Meteor! (Japanese Audio)
The Ultra Edition has a exclusive bonus disc containing the Frozen Teardrop audio drama.

I got the G gundam and 00 ultra at half retail price ($120 and $130) in march. Not sure what sales was it but was happy to grab them at that price.

Operation Meteor is like a recap of the series from a perspective after it, but before Endless Waltz. It has bits of new content about what happened to the characters afterwards. It's first 2 episodes are a total of 72 minutes. The second 2 episodes are a total of 60 minutes.

I get what you are saying, but the only series at this point I have not bought are ones not worth the price they are being sold at. I would not pay more than around $50 for all of Wing combined, $5 for F91, $20 for all of AGE, $15 for Recon of G, $60 for all of IBO, and $100 for that G Gundam box set.

Wait, so is it all new animation or just basically a clipshow movie like the SEED and Zeta movies?

Well looks like someone ain't gonna be buying much more Gundam if they are expecting those kinds of low prices. Pretty sure they won't show up in the Walmart bargain bin.
