Blue Underground's release of Zombie 4K lists Blu-Ray Special Features disc as included. But that's the closest I can think of.

And at least in that case it specifically says Special Features Blu-ray on the front, so there'd be no confusion about it being a movie disc or not.

I remember looking at the UK version of this online and seeing the first titling for the cover art, while looking now it's all the latter (edit: to clarify, was looking at the Ultra HD version).

Can anyone confirm whether the first version was actually produced or was it only the latter and the first was just tentative art?

Can anyone who's watched this new release confirm if it fixes the crap subtitle job done on the previous blu-ray? I've just watched the Studio Canal blu and it seems like it would be worth upgrading for that alone.

I checked at the store and all are like that.

Bugger up by manufacturer for sure.
It’s how they label Australian discs. I was pissed off when I bought the Flash Gordon 4K thinking it was a dual format release but the blu ray was just the extras.

I don’t know why they changed the typeface to a stylized (type of brush stroke) font (called Freeland by Trial by Cupcakes).

I have the earlier releases using the serif typeface.

Screencaps on DVDbeaver show that the disc menus use the stylized typeface.

The US steelbook SHOULD go up for pre-order either this week or next as that's when all the Lionsgate titles should be announced for November.

Any ideas if the US Lionsgate release will have same transfer as Studiocanal release or is it going to be a new transfer?

Unless proven otherwise, I shall assume that it is like the release of The Doors (Lionsgate-Studiocanal partnership, same master, same transfer)

I see. Thanks for the reply. I haven't seen this movie but the trailer and parts and bits look phenomenal. I heard the transfer is bad. Not sure if I shall buy it or wait.

Its not "bad". Its just that the improvement over the Mastered in 4k blu ray ,released a few years back, is not striking. if you have that one , there is no particular urgency to upgrade. Saying which, I have myself upgraded to the 4k

Which is the UHD "elephant in the room". Most UHDs I have are almost by accident where I bought because they included a blu for only a couple pounds more if any. I'd still rather buy a disc I can play in 5 rooms of the house rather than be limited to the one room with a 4K setup. I'm sure if there was no blu bundled, a lot of uhds would not shift in great numbers.

Saw this in the cinema today, and it didn't seem to be as tealed as the Blu-ray.

I said the same when I saw it theatrically a couple years back, and the 4K apparently isn't as teal either.

So sick of all this teal bullshit. If the transfer that comes with the Best Buy SteelBook has that same teal push it'll go straight in the trash.

It's not going to be different than what's available in the UK, so you might as well cancel your order now. As mentioned, the UHD is not as pronounced as the BD.

Considering Lionsgate would just be porting over the Studio Canal release due to their license agreement, I wouldn't expect the Best Buy SteelBook to have a different encode from the European UHD release. I could be wrong though. The circa 2010 "Studio Canal Collection" blu-ray encodes were the same on both sides of the Atlantic when released in both markets. Likewise the Apocalypse Now UHD released in both the UK and the US.

Do you or anyone happen to know who authored it?

What's the go-to audio track on this one? Is the 5.1 the original six-track mix or an upmix of the 2.0? Reviewers seem to be favoring the 2.0 over the 5.1, and that the 2.0 is present at all indicates the 5.1 is likely a remix, but it did get a six-track mix originally which throws it up in the air a bit.
