Psycho Armor Govarian Blu-ray is now available again at RS.

Gkids has a US 4K released.

I'm not sure if there's any difference in quality in the 4K discs. The UK BD disc is better than the US BD.

UK CE seems to have more extras as well, with more art cards and a soundtrack cd.

Going by gkids track record. They'll release a standard 4k release eventually. Will probably be a while though. Weathering with You took I believe 14 months between the collectors edition to standard.

YONA OF THE DAWN
CLAYMORE
EDEN OF THE EAST

Both original releases and essential editions of those series are now OOP. It appears that lots of essential editions will become OOP as Crunchyroll decided to terminate that product line.

Wonder if they'll end up re-releasing them yet again without digital codes, or just encourage people to keep watching them on Crunchyroll instead.

FUNimation budget lines over the years:
-Viridian Collection (2007-2010, replaced by S.A.V.E.)
-S.A.V.E. (Super Amazing Value Edition; 2010-2017, replaced by Essentials)
-Anime Classics (2011-2017, replaced by Classics)
-Essentials (2018-2022)
-Classics (2018-2022)

Budget lines have such a poor track record of actually staying around. We already saw a collapse in the number of Classics and Essentials releases before Crunchyroll and FUNimation merged and then the March announcement hit about them officially merging and phasing out the FUNimation brand.

Thankfully I had already bought Yona of the Dawn and Eden of the East during the Birthday sale.

Since it's OOP I went ahead and paid $30 on ebay for a sealed copy of Claymore, still worth it imo I loved this anime when I was younger.

Interesting....
I just received a copy of Eden a few days ago from an order earlier this year. It seems as though they went ahead and fulfilled the backorders but didn't really print extras to re-stock.
Luckily I already had all these (including a bluray/dvd version of Eden), but I'm disappointed to keep hearing about more anime going OOP. I don't want to have to spend a bunch of money on anime that's a bit more obscure or that only mildly interests me, out of fear that it will go OOP.

The UK LE for Yona of the Dawn uses the same Funi discs and is region AB. I would just get that instead.

Not sure what CrunchyFuniStuf will do, but re-release without codes is a definite possibility. With it being Crunchyroll (seriously?) being the top dog buying everyone else out they might start protecting the streaming portion more. They may try to make it more of a "everyone pays for streaming, and only buys their favorite discs" sort of thing. There is no doubt that streaming is the future, even if those of us here like physical discs. A lot of anime cost $10-30 for the digital versions through amazon/vudu/apple when not on sale, so Crunchyroll may view the digital codes with discs as a revenue killer. We don't get codes with Sentai or Discotek or Aniplex, etc, so it wouldn't be terribly odd for CrunchyFuniStuf to drop the codes eventually.

Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin I-IV (UK)

Not sure if its been added here yet, but its pretty much obvious at this point that its OOP, I got lucky finding a new copy on a more obscure site and I had to hunt for that, but everywhere else, sold out and has been at least 2 months now, you can't even score a 2nd hand copy anywhere.

https://www.alltheanime.com/products...origin-blu-ray

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mobile-Suit...&th=1&psc=1&m=

https://hmv.com/store/film-tv/blu-ra...he-origin-i-iv

Zavvi don't even have a link for it anymore
