Same. Honestly I can't keep track of all the names, so it's all one big jumbled mess. "Season 1" and "season 2" is about all I can handle, so having 15 different titles ending in -ari just melts my brain.

As far as selling, I'm sure we could at least break even, so I'm not worried. I do prefer complete sets in almost all circumstances, and I wish anime releases would ditch volumes and parts completely. Give me the whole season or whole series in one package, except for long shows that really need to be broken up (like UY)

Cowboy Bebop: The Complete Series - 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Blu-ray is now listed as “Currently Unavailable” through Amazon. No telling if Amazon’s already burned through their allotted copies or not, but if you want this release, my recommendation would be to pre-order it sooner rather than later.

I wonder how many copies of Yu Yu Hakusho 30th Anniversary Box Set are out there. It looks like I can't find even one copy at Ebay or Amazon Market place and the last copy was sold for $400.

I bet it'll remain very in demand. This is like the Code Geass movies where they get one printing and that's it. No re-releases and only one way to own it. If the new OVAs are exclusive to this box set forever then it'll be the same situation.

Most people aren't gonna want to see it as well, only hardcore fans bought this seemingly limited release. So I don't expect many copies and one's that are re-sold will be for 2x-3x cost.

It was the first anime I watched from start to finish, so I may as well get the limited edition...

I just got my one copy in the mail today, so I'm sure there will be some more people putting it up on ebay, but it won't be me as I only bought the one copy that I plan on keeping.

The disc cases look like normal funimation fare, and I'd be a little surprised if the OVAs don't get an individual release at some point. I find it hard to believe they would master them in HD just to include in a very limited box set. More likely is that they used the box set as an excuse to release it all in a limited set before selling everything individually again. They're still selling through some of the steelbooks so this was probably a way to make some sales in the meantime.

It has happened before somewhat with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. The Blu-ray for Haruhi-chan & Nyoron! Churuya-san was exclusive to the Collector's Edition of the TV series and they never released that separately except for the DVD version.

I would be surprised if it got an individual release for the OVAs. I believe they were included in a special box set in Japan as well. It is possibly a requirement of the rights holder.

Which one of you guys got roasted for trying to buy 10 copies of Urusei Yatsura Beautiful Dreamer from RACS? This is from his newsletter: The Urusei Yatsura Beautiful Dreamer BLURAY from Discotek recently fell out of print. Our stock of the BD completely sold out over this past weekend, and boy did we get in trouble with some of the folks from the Blu-Ray.com forum when we refused to sell the title to some of members there 10 copies at a time in order to make sure as many people as possible got at least one copy from our weekend batch of orders. My apologies to anyone who was not able to get one out of our end stock, but I want to remind some of the disgruntled folks over there that we did have that title in stock on BD for 4 years prior to last weekend. ;-) The good news is that the guys at Discotek said they do intend to re-release Urusei Yatsura Beautiful Dreamer on BD again at some point in the future if they can work out a couple of things with the license.

Now that I expect Robert to read this I would like to say that I enjoy your newsletter and have been reading it for a long time. If he didn't have that many copies and limited them to one per order then that's a good thing. You're also crying over spilled milk if you try to order something 4 years later and you don't get it, you snooze you lose! If RACS lists any copies on ebay then feel free to roast them. One thing that I like about RACS is that they often still have stock when other sites sell out, and lately their prices are close to what rightstuf offers.

I tried for Beautiful Dreamer (1 copy, I swear!) and some other Discotek stuff on sale in my first RACS order over the weekend. Didn't get BD but at least they honored the free shipping for the rest of it, plus no tax which is extra nice. So I'll most likely order again in the future.

I don't know how he would even know someone who tried to buy 10 copies was from here. I just assumed he said that because he knows people talk down on him here.
