Just got back from seeing Kevin smith for the 2nd time in two nights. Saw his Q&A last night and tonight till tuesday night they are showing two movies each night followed by a 30 min Q&A. So tonight I saw Clerks.

Kevin Smith is the funniest man alive, and now he has a new obsession and it is Walter Gretzky lol

Toronto, there was a Q&A on friday night, then saturday night, then he is showing his movies at the Bloor Cinema downtown tonight until tuesday.

If Kevin Smith were ever to come to Winnipeg, I would die. He is one of the people I look up to in the film industry. I love his "Evening With Kevin Smith" stand ups and I have loved nearly everyone of his films.

Out of curiousity, how did Saturday compare to Friday? I went the first night and laughed steadily for three hours, I was pretty tired by the end though, great value for my money.

I was gonna ask him about George Carlin (somebody else did) and if he has been to Swiss Chalet yet (Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters mentioned how the first thing they did a few years ago was go get Swiss Chalet haha).

For Friday night, off the top of my head:

- What was it like working with George Carlin?
- Explanation of Zack and Miri NC17 rating (and how he was able to bring it down by debating the poop scene and the sex)
- Jason Mewes & his wife made an appearance (as did Kevin's wife)
- He went into great detail about how big a fan he is of Wayne and Walter Gretzky (this was in response to somebody asking about when he grew fond of Canada)

There was so much more (a story about him breaking an ancient toilet), including when Edgar Wright was opening for him Smith yelled out from backstage (paraphrasing), "Get the **** off my stage, you and me are done professionally!"

I really have enjoyed watching the Evening with Kevin Smith dvds and need to watch his third dvd. He is much more honest than anyone else in Hollywood and his stories are hilarious, particularly his Prince story. I would love to see him live.

I don't know about a buy, but certainly a rental. While they are funny I don't think they have a lot of "rewatch" value.

-When someone asked the Carlin question he said man someone asked that last night and didnt want to repeat it until someone said 'F those guys we got our tickets first' and Kevin said 'yes!' as he pointed at the guy and told him to come up on stage, and then Kevin was just like yeah you guys paid first so skrew those guys last night haha
-Someone asked Kevin if they payed Jason more to show his junk on the camera, and then there was talk about size and jason's wife was beside him and she said jason was just average lol
-Yeah he talked about the toilet as well which was hilarious
-Gretzky of course, there was a good story about Wayne and the dad of the person who told the story
-He talked about how he smoked up all the time and watches blu ray, he got the 103 inch plasma from Panasonic for free and he has it two feet away from his bed and he watches it while on his belly and he says he swets buckets
- On sunday after the showing of Clerks, he mentioned blu ray again to a girl who asked a question about not having a commentary on zack and miri, and kevin said that he might add it in later via BD-Live or just have it on SMODCAST, and then he said that blu ray can do everything you should get it and then he told the girl 'you can get right up to it and it will lick your *****' lol
-Oh just remembered, the story about Jen not being able to poop so the Dr's had to insert a mini shovel into her rear and chip away at some poop blockage, then she could go lol

It's hard to remember everything because I was just constantly laughing the whole time. It just sucked because they had to kick us out at 10 just like you guys on friday. Most of the Q&A's go for at least 4-6 hours.

After Clerks on sunday he talked about Watchmen and how he has already seen it twice and that it is absolutely incredible.

Oh I would definitely get An evening with Kevin smith and, it's incredible. Evening Harder (2) is also good, the Toronto one (Disc 1) is much funnier then the one in London (Disc 2). The Threevening is good, but nowhere near as funny as the first one.

I was the recording on that in Jersey. it WAS awesome.

whenever he's around here I would no doubt go, I've seen him twice and it was great both times. I'm a fan of his movies but I would think even someone who wasn't would enjoy his q&a, he tells stories very very well and is a funny guy.
