It was this one, bought in 2005 if I remember well...

It is now long gone, as I have it on DVD-R.

I got rid of all but a dozen about 6 or 7 years ago. I was relocating at the time and needed to downsize. Now I need to downsize my DVD and Blu Ray library.

I found a (sealed) two-episode VHS release of the short-lived FOX show "VR.5" (1995) at a local garage sale.

Rhino collaborated w/ The Sci-Fi Channel for VHS releases of the show betw. 1999-2000. Two of the 13 eps. never made it to release.

As of now, these VHS releases are the only home release for this show as it's not available on DVD. However, the complete series DVD is available on Region 2.

I bought maybe a dozen or so disney VHS tapes from Goodwill 2 or 3 years ago for $0.50 each. Dunno why except for nostalgia's sake.

I tossed my cases. Literally every DVD/BR I own are now stored in 2 albums. I know some ppl, especially here on these forums, would label that as "extreme" and "sacrilegious" but when you own 700+ movies and have limited space, you gotta improvise.

It's like a million voices cried out in horror, and were suddenly silenced.

Not that I would ever go that route myself, only because it hurts the resell-value, but I can totally see doing that.

I mean, how many times do we actually look at the cases? Even then, you could just look at the cover scans on DVD Profiler and such to get your fill.

I found a sealed copy of E.T. with the green flap for $0.69 at a charity store. This was one of my most played tapes as a kid.

- I'm nostalgic for VHS and I enjoy collecting horror (especially classic horror) and action flicks.

- I like some of the older VHS artwork better than the covers of the newer DVD releases.

- I like looking for media that isn't available on DVD; the more obscure the better.

My last VHS period was Song of the South, purchased from my grandad a few months ago! (UK tape)

The last time I bought a NEW VHS in a shop was in 2006, the 2003 VHS of Doctor Who: Invasion of the Dinosaurs. Not only did it track poorly, the actual tape squeaked!
