Regarding the Canadian edition of Venom. Someone in another thread said it was for Google Play. My code did not redeem in Google Play, rather a UV code for Sony's website. There's an empty placeholder in my Flixster library, but it hasn't shown up in Flixster yet. I had this happen with Inferno before, but it eventually (about a year later) did show up in my Flixster library (actually, when I entered the code for Venom).

Target claims Overlord will be released on 1/29. They even have shelf space set up. But I doubt that is right. It’s not even on Digital until 2/5

They also already have Nutcracker out.

Probably just confused because the release date was pushed back a few weeks ago. I believe it was originally set to be released tomorrow before they changed it

The Hunter Killer UHD redeems only on Vudu or FandangoNow. Not sure on blu-ray since we have sometimes seen UHD and Blu have different redeem options with Lionsgate.

I noticed at my Target they had shelf tags for several other movies not coming out until later like Girl in the Spider's Web, not sure what the deal is.

Seem like Lionsgate figured out how to avoid giving people the free iTunes 4K upgrade with regular Bluray. But they are putting the codes in the wrong editions.

Is Paramount quietly dropping UV from new releases?

Saw on VUDU that Sgt Stubby didn't have UV, but figured that was a one off as a smaller release, though now Nobody's Fool is up there without listing UV. And while I don't read too much into pre-orders (since I often see UV status added to them until later), I checked and none of the pre-orders for Overlord, Instant Family, or Bumblebee list UV.

I also wonder how these will be redeemed if no UV, will they still be dual redeem (say VUDU without UV and ITunes), or are they going to a single redemption. This wouldn't really matter if they joined MA, but I've heard of no progress on that (and Lionsgate dropped UV from new releases without joining MA).

Paramount codes do still consistently dual redeem. Using your example, Sgt Stubby, I redeemed it into both Vudu and iTunes.

I had heard something about Vudu limiting UHD licenses going into UV for future Paramount releases, not sure if that adds to your theory about them dropping UV.

Yeah, I read apparently after Mission Impossible Fallout they wouldn't be granting anymore UHD UV licenses, even on older titles, and now with UV shutting down in six months it makes even more sense that they would turn away from the service. I wish this would be the extra push needed to get Paramount to join MA, but doubt that unfortunately

Saw on VUDU that Sgt Stubby didn't have UV, but figured that was a one off as a smaller release, though now Nobody's Fool is up there without listing UV. And while I don't read too much into pre-orders (since I often see UV status added to them until later), I checked and none of the pre-orders for Overlord, Instant Family, or Bumblebee list UV. I also wonder how these will be redeemed if no UV, will they still be dual redeem (say VUDU without UV and ITunes), or are they going to a single redemption. This wouldn't really matter if they joined MA, but I've heard of no progress on that (and Lionsgate dropped UV from new releases without joining MA).
