Hopefully in about 17 years, would love to leave the Rat Race and retire in Colorado. Planting the seed in my 10 year old's head that he either needs to go to CU or join the Air Force so that we can spend more time there in the meantime.

That's a plan.

(They can be sold separately), one of the 28's has a dented tweeter but i have a new tweeter Assembly that will go with them. I want to offer first to those members in the Colorado area because i really don't want to pack and ship them, especially the 28's.

If you are in the Colorado area and are interested PM me for a price.

Hi to some of the guys on this site years ago that made it a must read.

Hey buddy, how are you. I do have the 28's available, the OMD R's were sold to a member on this thread awhile back. I forget where you live, was it here in Colorado?

I'll PM you later today if I can but more likely tomorrow.

Arnie

I'm well. Thanks for asking. I'm in Michigan. Unfortunately, pretty far from Colorado. I patiently await your PM.

I have four black OMD-28s. One was a rebuild project and another imperfect. I am going to keep the imperfect pair and sell the best pair. My problem is that I only have one pair of grills. While it was no problem in my media room, my wife is not going to let these fly with no grills in our den.

If anyone has grills, even if they need work, please send me PM!

The time has come for me to say goodbye Mirage. It's been a great ride. I'm transitioning to active speakers with planar mid/tweeter (Funk Audio).

I own or have owned all of Mirage's speakers since the Omnisat V1s. I am retaining Omnican 6s in-ceiling in my media room (9.1.6). I will also likely retain some OS3s for surround duties in various rooms.

I'm still taking inventory of what I have.

OMD-28s (4 black, only 2 sets of grills)
OMD-C2 (black)
OMD-R (2 black)
OM-R2 (1 black, 2 High-gloss black, 2 cherry)
OMD-15 (1 black & 4 rosewood?)
OMD-5 (2 rosewood)
OMD-C1 (1 black, 2 rosewood?)
OS3-FS (3 brushed black aluminum?, 2 HGB?)
OS3-SAT (2 HGB)
Omnican 6 (4?)
Omnican 5 (4?)
Uni-Theater (1 silver)

I also have donor parts for OMD-5/15/C1, Omnisat V2, and OS3

PM me if you have interest. I will likely have parts for quite some time.

Default Nospam, I sent you a PM.

Interest in your Mirage. How did you find out about your new speakers?
Best,
Bobby

I learned of Funk Audio via their subwoofer owners on Data-bass and AVS forums.

Like Crazy, now that I'm no longer working I'm going to downsize when I move. But I'm not ready to let go of the systems I have - maybe someday...

Thankfully I saved all the audio boxes for the move (OH to GA) after the house sells.

There's a pair of M3si for sale on USAM for a great price, somebody please buy them so that I don't have to drive to NJ!!! 500 miles and about 9 hours round trip for a pair of speakers? I'm seriously thinking about it.

I finally moved to Georgia now that I'm retired. The basement theater is moving along nicely, I'm setting up an 11.4 Mirage system. All wiring is in to the audio closet for the rack. Walls will go up after the electrician and plumber finish their work. Pics coming soon

Front OMD28
Center C2
Wide OMD15
Height OMD5
Surround OMDR
Rear OMD5
Sub x4 S10

Question - I cannot find the plastic mounts for the large "screw" for the OMD5 speakers (need four). Anyone selling theirs or know of a secure mounting alternative for the OMD5 speakers?

Congrats on retirement and the new setup!

Unfortunately I am using the stock hardware to mount my two OMD 5's, so I don't have a good alternative nor can I part with them.

Thanks - I know they are someplace, but with the move, heaven knows where...

The screw and slot mount is so simple, there must be some way to either make or modify a mount.

I found these mounts on Amazon. I'm thinking if I do some dremel work cutting the "screw" notch then the speaker should mount nicely on the wall (as seen on the image to the right).

I would like them to be more flush mount, but this could work.

This mount would also allow me to toe in the speakers a bit.

It's a common screw thread, there are many mounts that will screw right into it. I thought I had the thread written down somewhere but I'm not finding it. It's bigger than 1/4-20, probably 3/8-16.

Kind of surprised you are using the OMD-R's for surround instead of rears.
