Maybe? Im pretty sure it is Namco, if Sega gets a credit it would be for the Naomi hardware. Sort of how Namco gets a credit Sega’s for F-Zero AX and Sega gets a credit for Namco’s Mario Kart GP since both companies teamed up w/ Nintendo to create the GameCube-based TriForce arcade board.

Anybody pick up either of yesterdays releases? I got Virtua Racing. I would love for them to do SEGA Rally with this quality.

I also got Virtua Racing.

Hadn't played it in ages.

But wasn't this in 4:3 back in the day? There's only an option to play it in widescreen now.

I know the deluxe cabs were 16:9. Pretty cool to do the farthest overhead style cam and see the entire tack rendered completely. No more pop in.

I picked up Virtua Racing and Space Harrier (love that game so I didn't feel like waiting on SoA). V.R. is so smooth, I feel like they should just do Virtua Fighter now so see if other low-poly games hold up this well. Space Harrier is fun, it seems harder on the big screen. I kind of want this game to get an HD remake; as in high-res line art, not like the awful PS2 remake.

Does anyone else have a little black plus in the upper right corner of V.R.? Is that supposed to be there?

It’s a known “glitch” that was in the original. I had thought John mentioned it in the DF Retro video he did but I just scanned through it and didn’t find it.

Oh, I didn't notice it the first time I watched that DF Retro. I wonder if that is a byproduct of the code they used or if they had to force it to keep the glitch? I suppose it doesn't matter, M2 gave us another excellent conversion.

What country are you from?

I don't see Space Harrier in the EU eShop.

Hopefully it won't stay that way... Turbo Outrun on the 3DS anyone?

And what's up with Data East's Night Slashers still not being available in the EU eShop?

That’s actually why I have multiple accounts, some games either don’t make overseas or the price is better on a different store. Nintendo really got it right, almost every game has at least Japanese and English, and this generation of consoles are region-free so physical purchases work as well. It’s bleeding over to Sony and MS as well, but they’re not quite there yet.
