I think it's worth noting that while the Doan's Island movie is indeed a remake of the 15th episode, it appears to feature at least some characters and other details that are revealed later in the original series.

Does that mean you need to watch more? I don't really know, haven't seen this movie. I would imagine the original movie trilogy is a safe bet but the whole series is on crunchyroll. Based on one particular thing I noticed, I would recommend getting to at least the mid 20s.

Anyone check out Goodbye, Don Glees? I was looking forward to it since I loved Antarctica Girls but it ended not being as great as I hoped. It had some emotional stuff and was alright but nothing amazing.

Pfft! I call false advertising! It's not even really a "Studio Ghibli" Fest, it's only just a "Hayao Miyazaki" Fest - his films aren't even my favorite Studio Ghibli movies. I'd love to see any of Takahata's or Yonebayashi's movies, or even Goro's movies, up on the big screen - those are the Ghibli movies I really love. Where the hell is When Marnie was There, Arrietty, Only Yesterday, Grave of the Firefly, Princess Kaguya, Poppy Hill, Earthsea, or even Ocean Waves? I'd much rather see ANY of those movies on a big screen over the same-old, way-over-played and over-hyped Hayao Miyazaki movies.

At least I do get to watch them on a 120" projection screen at home in my own theater, but it still would be nice to see some of those "other" Ghibli movies play in a commercial theater. Any of those titles would actually coerce me into going into a public theater to see them. Lame.
