Newbie Here - Easier Collection or Tracking Way?

I tried making a new post, but the system won't allow me even though I've been a member since February. This seems to be the closest thread to my post, so I'll try to post my question as a reply to this thread.

My Movies Mobile App (Android and iPhone) Question

In the app, there are four categories: Blu-ray, DVD, PS3, and Xbox 360.

After logging in, all my BD collection got imported. I have zero DVD, PS3, and 360 discs as far as the app is concerned. How can I add my DVDs and my games using the browser (not the app)? It seems I can only add BD movies.

Is there and way to remove all movies from My Price Tracker at once? I have a very fast internet connection but have 4000 movies tracking at the same time right now and it takes about 9-10 minutes for My Price Tracker page to load and I can only delete one movie per load function.

Have you tried the app lately. I just downloaded it last night and it works great for all four forms of media. There are a few of my DVD's that it didn't find but you can type them in manually with the app. I really do like that it auto imports to my catalogue here on the site!

Another app suggestion for Android owners is "shelves". I'm very happy with it. It supports multiple types of media, connects to popular sites to download tags, covers etc (blu-ray.com, Amazon etc), keeps track of loaned movies, backup to dropbox, and even supports board games and boardgamegeek.com (I'm a board game geek).

How in the heck to I add BD's to my collection on this site?

I have gone into my profile and got into where you would view your collection (obviously mine is empty), but I cannot figure out how to add the actual movies in there.

Search your Blu-Ray

Go to its page

Below the Image of the Blu-ray, click Add to Collection
(This will not add it to your collection yet)

On the next page, fill up info you would like to be added (optional)

Click Add to Collection at the bottom.

Done!

I wanted to add the other stuff using a computer and a browser at blu-ray.com, not the app.

Now that I got adding blu's into my collection down, is there a way to add one that is out of region and not shown in the list on this site. I got the German exclusive steelbook of Gladiator and wanted to add that instead of the basic pic on this site.

The box at the top where you can search for movies has a Region to the far right. You can search All Countries or be specific and choose Germany. If the item has had multiple releases, it's better to be country specific because it gives you more individual titles that way.

In regards to the price tracker, is there a way to simply be notified if the price drops no matter how much it decreases? I don't like having to set parameters for notifications. Of course that could be the ease the load on the email server or something like that.

Apologies for hijacking this thread, just a quick question regarding my collection of DVD & BD's

Is it possible to combine both collections into a single list?

I would like to browse through just one list of both media as it makes it easier to pinpoint the DVD's that need updating.

Can someone tell me how, or point to the link where I can request/add a new disk to the database please

On the other hand there seems to be 8 different entries for Avengers Metal Box - I'm sure there were not that many different ones :-)

Is there a way to display just the movies in your collection so that it looks only at the title? This way you will can drill into the type of media it is on such as Blu-Ray, DVD, Ultraviolet, etc...

This would make it easy to find a title and then see if you can play it through streaming or dig out the media. Right now I have to search/browse each format individually.

If not, I guess a work around is to include all titles under Blu-Ray and then create a custom category "Other Formats" and have value of 'Y'. This would be a problem if you only had versions in the "Other Format" category though...

How do I edit a comment I entered in my BD collection?

When I add a movie to my collection, Blu-ray.com gives options to enter information about the disc. There is a box for comments.

How do I edit this information after I enter it into my collection? I cannot find an edit feature anywhere.

Hi ESP1138

In your collection on the left of the title you want to edit there is a Box. Check that box & then at the bottom there is a button that say Edit Selected. Click on that & you will be able to edit the comment
