Adding a title to the database?

I have been checking on this issue pretty much daily hoping it would resolve itself, however I have had no luck. I still don't see the bar with all the editing links. Any help would be appreciated.

If there isn't a theatrical page for the title in the database, you'd have to create a theatrical page using this form:
https://www.blu-ray.com/products/?c=...ion=addproduct

Once that is submitted and approved, you can get the master id from the url of that new theatrical page.

Hi, I only very recently downloaded the Android blu-ray.com app to my phone, but I can't see a way of adding titles to my collection via my phone, I can only view the collection.

Is this possible, or do all additions to your collection have to be done via the website?

You mean adding new titles, don't you? I assume that you have scanned your collection previously with the other app, the Barcode Scanner. I think you can't add new titles or editions to the database via phone, only via web. Some of us can't do it even via web xD

Is there a way to see or update a pending item you added/contributed to? Like if you forgot something?

ETA: Ooh, or remove...i just found what I'd entered exists and I did not find it with my original search

No, sorry. Once it's submitted then you just have to wait for it to be approved, or in rare cases, not approved. There's not even an exact way to check on that. The best I've found is that any pending submissions will show up here, where it will give a number pending when there is one: https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ac...s.php?u=381990 and approved submissions will show up here: https://www.blu-ray.com/community/to...action=history

Once something is approved then you can make more changes. Though if your initial submission is just contributing to an already existing entry then you can make more changes to other fields, while the first ones are still pending.

Unfortunately now that I have seen the listing, the details are wrong... This is a DVD boxset released in 2005, not Blu Ray format. Is there a way to change the format as it isn't really letting me do it when I go to edit?

Unfortunately no. While almost every detail can be changed after an entry has been approved, it's type (Blu-ray, DVD, iTunes, etc.) is locked in.

So you would want to re-do it again, making sure that it's a DVD. Sorry.

Also, unless you are aware of a Blu-ray version of that film existing (which you could then change this entry's info to), then you will need to report it in this thread, so that it will be (eventually) deleted: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...238591&page=23

Not that I am aware of, except by copying and pasting from one screen/window to another.

If you're adding from a Theatrical Entry/Master Movie ID then some of the info is populated automatically for you. I recommend starting from that anyway, and creating it if it's not there, as those can really be helpful for several reasons.

No worries I've made a duplicate by mistake before...they just rejected it and pointed me to the existing one

No, posting there will take care of it, though it sometimes takes months for them to delete it.

And as gabby98 said, we all make mistakes, so just try to make extra sure that you've clicked on DVD the next time you add it.

I'm just echoing a posts from last year, but I don't see the edit bar that would allow me to add a title to the database. I'm really surprised that some of the titles that I cannot add are not already there, but are there criteria to allow new users to add titles?
