Not a newbie to this forum but a newbie question. I can’t seem to figure out how the “My movies” section works, or is supposed to work. At least on my account it just lists some (about 15 percent) of the films that I have in “My collection”. It also seems to randomly contain some films that I previously owned but have since removed from my collection. I am talking about the category that’s called “Watched” on desktop. It doesn’t match what I have marked as watched in my collection so that can’t be how it works either (on the contrary it seems to list some films that I haven’t marked as watched in my collection).
What is the point of that section? How are films added to that section and what is the point of having another list of films that is not connected (or only partly) to my actual movie collection listed under My collection. Last edited by spiltmilk; 05-09-2022 at 05:32 PM. |

After looking I can see why it would not overlap with "My Collection"
When the categories are Watched or rated, yes those will stay in My Movies even if you do not own them. Here are the My Movies categories Watched Watchlist Ratings Movie Log Movie Schedule Recommendations I can mark Moonfall in my movie log and give it a rating which would put it in the My Movies section but I have no plans to ever own Moonfall thus it will not be in My Collection. |

A couple of years ago, I noticed a few random movies in the My Movies section that I had never seen & don't own on disc. I deleted them & haven't noticed any quirks or glitches or missing titles lately.
Some things I like about the feature: -Keeping track of movies & shows I've watched, but don't own -The sub-category of movies I've watched in a theater -Ability to look up some obscure B-movie from the '40s or '50s that I can't remember if I've seen or not -Most movies feature their original poster art & it's fun to sort by year, scroll through, & see poster art trends over the decades -Ability to rate movies I've seen but don't own |
