KING KONG (Naomi Watts, 2005) - Blu-ray Forum

Hi there.
I'm brand new to this site and I have searched and searched but cannot find out if the Naomi Watts, 2005 KING KONG movie will be released on Blu-ray. Does anyone happen to know if or when it will be released to Blu-ray?

Universal starts releasing on Blu-Ray in July, so chances are it will be released later this year or early next year.

If you are more interested too see BLU Naomi Watts then there are better movies out there than King Kong.

specially the movie 'Mulholland Drive' that is if you want to see Naomi in some girl on girl action.

King Kong is one of my all time favorites so that's the one I'm really hoping to have on Blu-ray.

I like Naomi Watts' work in her other films but I think she did an absolutely brilliant and amazing job in King Kong!

I can't wait for this to be on Blu-ray especially if it will be the Director's Cut with all of those extra scenes.
And speaking of the Director's Cut, wouldn't it have been so awesome if they finished all the CGI work on that scene where Kong gets hit in the street and drops Anne and then when he picks her back up and begins to go for the Empire State Building? I really wish they would have completed that and finished the CGI on Kong there.

I cannot believe how beautiful this movie is! Every background, every location, Kong himself, everything is so beautifully done!!!!
And no matter how many times I see it, I still freaking cry when they capture Kong and he still reaches for her before going to sleep

, when they are on the ice together

and then when she climbs up there swinging her arms screaming "No!"

and then of course, the last they see each other before he falls.

Ugh! It just kills me! I still feel that this movie and Naomi Watts should have rec'd Oscars for Best Picture and Best Actress!!!!

WOW, I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, and for some reason I have been half tempted to buy the movie on blu, just b/c I thought it would look fantastic, and I just might half to do that.

This was one of the must have HDDVD titles of it day, now its a must have blu-ray. I now have both
