Why didnt my post get approved? - Page 3 - Blu-ray Forum

I signed up to the boards, so i could post a couple new threads in the deals section that no one has listed. Unfortunately since i am new, i have to post replies elsewhere first.

I agree with you. I come to this site a lot and decided to join yesterday to get some advice and help from these knowledgeable people. Tried to post and couldn't. I guess all in due time.

hey and welcome. I was the same as you guys only 2 months ago. I wanted to ask a ton of specific questions but couldnt. They make it this way so not everyone starts threads that are already there keeping it organized.(I know I have done it) lol. Just gotta search around and ask questions in threads pertaining to something similar to yours and I promise someone will help. This place is great with super helpful people..

Thanks, its funny that you say that. Every time I come to this site I have all these questions to ask. It seems that everyone is very helpful here. I am looking forward to really getting into it.

Where in a thread will a post that has to be approved by a mod show? Will it show as the newest post in the thread or at the time you actually posted it?

The reason I ask is that I responded to a question in the UK Disney thread, but it has still not been approved several hours later. If my post shows up as the newest post when approved I will suddenly just look like an idiot answering something that has already been answered, since the question I answered has been both answered by someone else and discussed to death since my post. :/

I have been a member since last year. I just changed my password but my user login name has not changed. I tried to enter the contest for the Bates Motel giveaway but every time I hit the "post comment" tab, the screen was white and when I checked the posts for the contest, mine was not recorded. Can someone tell me why and what I need to do to fix this? thx.

Now that you have made a post in the forum you should be good to post in the contests

From what I've noticed, if your post includes a link then it goes to a queue to get approved by a mod. I've had a couple posts with links, neither got approved, it's not a big deal but it would have been nice to contribute.

As your status changes from New Member you will no longer require approval. I'll go through your history and approve as needed. I'll do the same for the user above

Thanks, for the approvals. I've been around for a while but I mostly lurk. I guess I should post more to avoid this problem. Almost to 10, at this rate I'll get there by 2015.
