Despite its release date set for the 28th, Target shipped my pre-order for delivery this Tuesday (or could show up on Monday)

Well despite being a TV movie I really enjoyed Edge of the Axe. I was really impressed with the picture quality, great job on the restoration. They do try to give you suspects throughout the film, I was right about who it was but no spoilers to those that haven't seen it. Another great Arrow release.

Whoever cut this trailer together did a hell of a job. Makes it look like one of the greatest slashers ever.

Technicolor managed to loose the OCN for it so its on hold for the time being.

I listened to the audio commentary with the Hysteria Continues, and the main host Justin Kerswell didn't seem convinced that it was a TV film either when he was discussing the background of it. I myself don't believe it was either—as far as I can tell, it went directly to video in the U.S. in '89, and I think it was probably shown on TV, which led people to somehow believe it was a made-for-TV movie.

Mine switched to 'Payment taken - Awaiting Processing' early Monday morning, today it's still at that status; so looks like the warehouse move hasn't improved things at all.

There must be something seriously up with their supply chain/production in the UK, when Diabolik can get the US version to customers early January & the UK version still hasn't dispatched direct (Diabolik seem to be consistently at least 2 weeks ahead with dual territory releases).

Did anyone order this through the Target B2G1 free sale and have their status for this as backordered? I know this technically doesn't come out until tomorrow so I'm trying not to freak as much. But saying backordered instead of preordered is making me a little nervous. That combined with the fact it sold out not long after my order also makes me a bit nervous.

Yeah, Target hasn't shipped mine yet either.

I got to my copy yesterday and man does this release look great. IMO one of Arrow's better jobs.

Same story here. The mobile app tortures me by saying that it’s shipped (and, somehow, simultaneously backordered), while target.com just says that it’s backordered.

...and right after posting that, I got an "Action needed: please review your new delivery date." email from Target. Now the estimated range for the backorder to be shipped ends at Feb. 12th instead of Feb. 5th.

I got the same exact email with the same exact delay until February 12th. I'm already losing hope. I won't be surprised if that time comes and goes and we get another email like this extending it yet again. Ugh

I was expecting the same, but as it turns out, I just got a shipping notification from Target. Hopefully yours isn't too far behind, if you haven't received one already. Edge of the Axe should be here on Friday.

Well I'm glad to hear that!! Maybe there's hope after all. Mine still hasn't shipped but crossing my fingers now that yours was shipped.

Transfer is great just did not like movie very much and I love slashers.
