Default De-interlacing 480p, 720p or 1080p

Does the de-interlacing option in the player software have any effect if the source is already progressive, 480p, 720p or 1080p?

Default

No, de-interlacing is only applied to interlaced video, though you can still have pull-up or pull-down.

DVDO PREP processing is different, but thats not really applicable here.
