In Portugal portuguese audio is only important to child movies, we prefer to hear the original audio, in Brazil is different.

I don't know, because my wife (who's frame Brazil) says the same thing. She says that dubs are mostly just for children, and adults usually prefer to hear the original audio.

When we had my wife's mom first start coming over to watch movies with us, I thought it would be nice to switch to the Portuguese audio track for her, but she and my wife insisted that they would prefer to just have the subtitles.

And after I recently watched a German movie with a friend who said he wanted the English dubs, rather than just the subtitles, I think I can understand. The movie was "Run Lola Run", and I had already watched it a couple times with the original German audio, but watching it with the English audio was just weird, and artificial. The audio seemed kind of detached from what was actually happening on screen, and I found it very distracting. On top of that, I couldn't stand one of the voices they used for a main character. So even though I don't speak German at all, I would much rather watch that movie with the original German audio. (As a side note, "Run Lola Run" also has Portuguese audio/subtitles available).

For animated titles, however, we usually watch with the Portuguese audio since you don't seem to be missing anything, unlike the live-action movies. I've actually found a few animated movies where I prefer the Portuguese track, such as "Bolt".
