the screenshots dont look good to me there apperars to be some colour issues and artifacts in them...........but the main problem is DNR seems to be applied in heavy quantity.............

Again DNR raises its ugly face....It appears that there are some hue issues...I always find slight color shift between screenshots and my calibrated PJ. I will reserve my comments on color for the time being.

Black level and contrast appears quite good and no contrast or highlight blooming is visible which is really nice

I have the MoserBaer DVD. However I don't know the movie by heart, so if you can give me an idea of timestamps for the screenshots taken, I can try to get comparision shots.

Moserbaer and it's DNR'd crap. I can't believe they would do this to such a high caliber film. All Moserbaer has to do is STOP APPLYING DNR. NO DNR. ZERO. SIMPLE. YOU ARE DESTROYING THE DETAILS BY APPLYING DNR.

Heh, I wonder who is authoring these. Will any other company release Jab We Met on Blu-ray? I believe the DVD was released by the Indian Film Company, although I could be wrong.

the crap dvd was also released by moserbaer with fake dolby 5.1 sound possibly created by pro logic from 2 channel source that astonished me...........

Do you know if any other company is planning to release Jab We Met apart from the MoserBaer?

I am holding off my purchase at the moment. My friend who collects every single BD from bollywood purchased the MB version and I am going to borrow it from him. Most likely I will have the BD for viewing tonight or tomorrow.

Anyone else seen the BD on their TV/PJ?

Yes a international version will be released besides the Moserbaer release ,as the rights are owned by studio 18 (Indian film Company )who also own rights for singh is king and welcome etc .

We cant confirm which company will release it currently ,but have spoken with studio 18 last year about all there back catalogue and are awaiting a decision from them .

Definitely buying this title after watching the tamil version "Kandhen Kadhalai",. I want to experience the movie on Hindi version as well..

Am a little confused by this comment - you say you're waiting for a decision from Studio 18, but you've also said that an international version will be released. Have Studio 18 confirmed that an international version will definitely be released? Or are they still waiting to make a decision?

What Bollywood Blu-Ray is trying to say is that there are plans for an international version to release in the future however Studio 18's choice of which company will author/distribute it is still pending.

I think the PQ is pretty decent from my 10 mins of surfing through it. Its not a 4/5 but then its not a 2/5 either. I can live with it. I've stopped expecting anything to write home about as far as PQ is concerned from Indian BDs.

Given that its probably gonna cost you $10 in India,, I say go for it. Its def worlds apart from the dvd but its nowhere near spectacular. The colors are lush, not over saturated [compared to other hindi flicks], there is however no pop, def a lack of depth and dimensionality and the colors might be a teensy weensy off [could be a studio sponsored look], but like I was saying this is as good as it gets. I'm not expecting a remaster supposedly coming out in a year or so to be light years from this one becos my feel is that the source material might be an issue. Again just my opinion. Given I have less than 5 Indian BDs. I'd say its better than DTPH which was a sodding mess but not as great as VZ. Does that help?
