I'm sure these will get 4K releases. But that pic has been floating around for like a year. I doubt that's what we will get. But it does look nice though.

Huh? It's Paramount and they will likely do both.

It is ONLY Paramount. Disney owns the rights to the characters, but not the movies that have already been made.

Would love to eat my words on this one, but I'll believe it when I see it. Paramount has hardly released anything catalog related on the format for the last year. And from a studio perspective they would probably want to release when film #5 hits, whenever that may be.

Just an update for the anticipated Indiana Jones 4K release. Seems like Paramount will release 3 Tom Cruise 4K titles before IJ.

The next 3 are War of the World, Top Gun and Days of Thunder.
Anyway, the title of this thread is misleading. We are talking about Indiana Jones 1-4. So a better thread title could be The Adventures of Indiana Jones 1-4 (1981-2008) 4K UHD.

There's another thread for this anyway. This was just moved from the NA generic section.

Where did you get that quote about Tom Cruise and Indy?

I got the info from the Group Buy thread for Indiana Jones 4K on Media Phsycho's website. For those who think that UHD Club is just a scam, they have released several 4K special releases before. For instance Saving Privat Ryan that is listed here on br.com:
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Savin...lu-ray/230334/

So I am pretty confident we will see the following Paramount 4K releases in the first half of 2020:
  • War of the Worlds
  • Top Gun
  • Days of Thunder
  • Indiana Jones 1-4

I hope you're right as that would be a pretty amazing 1st half of 2020 for Paramount, after a dismal 2019 for Paramount catalog on UHD. By my count, they only released Pet Cemetery, 13 Hours, and Its a Wonderful Life as far as catalog titles in 2019. That was pathetic output, and I had begun to question their commitment to the format.

Rumour has it it'll be out in 2020. My guess is Fall or Winter. Back To The Future still needs a concrete release date but I'm guessing it'll be February or March... the reunion for the TCM classic film festival is supposed to be in April... I'm hoping BTTF will be out to purchase before then.

If it were that soon, we would have a release date and preorder info. Iím guessing the TCM event will be used to announce the set.

Since Indy 5 is still happening I'll probably just wait for a box set with all 5 films.

That is if this does come out of course.

Paramount kept the distribution rights to the first four films, while Disney is making the 5th film. So there's no certainty we'll ever get a 5 film box set.
