Default Geronimo: An American Legend

This highly underrated movie desperately needs a blu-ray release. Sony has not done this film justice (there's not even a widescreen DVD).

I just saw it for the first time today cropped on TV. Great movie with an incredible cast including Wes Studi, Matt Damon, Jason Patric, Gene Hackman and Robert Duvall. The thought of seeing this film again in HD with the proper aspect ratio has me drooling.

Come on, Sony! Give Geronimo the blu-ray release that it deserves! (And while you're at it, get to work on Thunderheart too!)

Dead on, this beautiful film needs an accurate Blu-ray release! Fabulous images, Ry Cooder's score and the whiff of truth. This excellent, under-rated movie has been badly served. It might be Walter Hill's best film. And I am writing three years after the original post. Please, hurry up, Sony!

Yeah, I'm sure they're gonna get right on it...and then promptly give it up to Mill Creek, who will then release it as part of a 4 pack DVD with three other films. Here's what you have to look forward to:

The long waiting have a positive effect. When Sony release this film, they will use a 4K master.

I hope they release this movie soon and make a nice Special Edition(a worldwide steelbook or digibook).

Glad to know I'm not the only one who enjoyed this movie. A Blu-Ray would be nice, and I can see it happening eventually, but probably as a lackluster Mill Creek release like stated above. But I suppose anything is better than nothing. That Daimajin set has definitely made me appreciate Mill Creek a bit more.

Default I totally agree

I totally agree, this movie is highly underrated and needs a blu ray release. I need it in my collection! While I am begging, how about 13th warrior also? Come on, Vikings are "in" right now lol
