Surprised this is getting a 3-D release considering how Paramount treated the movie.

Paramount isn't really to blame. They decided to put it out on VOD earlier than usual and several major theater chains got butt hurt over the ordeal and refused to carry the picture as a result. I was pissed as I was one of those affected by it. The film did poorly because it was carried on 1/3 the number of screens that the prior entry was carried on. I'm glad they're putting this out on 3D, I'll be snatching it up for sure.

Yeah, but did they really think most major theater chains wouldn't mind the early VOD release date.

will be getting the standard Blu-ray. I heard this entry was better than the previous 2 films and since I have the other 5 on Blu-ray this is a no brainer

Butt Hurt? Theaters were going to lose out on money with stupid VOD rollout...they were entirely justified in doing what they did.

Agreed. The theaters were in the right here.

One of the worst films of the year, easily.

I didn't care for 4, but thought The Marked Ones was good. This one was annoying with the pop-out 3D effects and the story was very meh to me.

The best movie in the franchise is the third film and even that is only slightly above par.

I did find this final entry to have a couple of eerie, atmospheric moments, but overall, it's extremely laughable and over the top.

I enjoy these movies because I take them with quite a few grains of salt. They're pretty much a guilty pleasure of mine. I still have yet to see this one though.

I generally enjoyed the franchise until four. The first three were solid for what they were, at least for me.... But the fourth part was so dull. Didn't even try. I dropped off after that.

This one had some nifty visuals and 3-D effects. Totally underwhelming as the series' grand finale, though.

I have the first three entries on Blu-ray, which are solid. 4 was poor, and The Marked Ones was enjoyable, but had a WTF ending that went nowhere. I will wait for the inevitable Complete Collection set. Hopefully they go all-out with it, and include the Japanese spin-off Tokyo Night.

The ones I can say I liked enough to own so far are 1 & The Marked Ones. 2 & 3 very ok, 4 i really didn't like at all. I still wanna check this one out. Might grab the regular BD.

I already own all the other films and want this one. I'm wondering if I should wait for an eventual box set that contains them all though since this is supposedly the last one they are making.

Also posted in the Custom Cover Section, but I think it's a good idea to re-post this here!

I finished the 2nd Space-Saver Volume for the Paranormal Activity Movies.

Those look very nice, you did a good job on them. I might grab a couple three disc cases and print them out. Are you thinking about making a custom one for all six films as well?

waiting for a box set on this franchise. don't want the individual releases. I like the series, but this doesn't deserve that much room on my shelf.
