Stop fooling yourselves. The lowest point in the Bond series (I've been a Bond fan since before they started using the F word. Why do fans speak like studio executives?) is No Time to Die. Badly rewritten into an incoherent mess by an army of script doctors and edited like a series of bad reel changes at a second run cinema back when movies were projected on film.

"Fans" raving about it being the best Bond film are suffering from a contagious disease called hype. One day, when they are confronted with duly watching the Bond marathon, they'll lower their heads and volunteer going out to buy beer and fags in order to avoid talking about it.

Making Blofeld Bond's "brother" in Spectre ids stupid, especially as the structure of the film would have been pretty much the same without that "homage" to Fleming. But NTTD's sins will assure the film a place in cinema hell with no change for redemption. James Bond will NOT return.

I remember being disappointed by Spectre, but I didn't dislike it. It just drags. They tried to make Craig's Bond lighter and it didn't work very well in that movie.... (NTTD manages to pull it off those moments better IMO). And the Blofeld
[Show spoiler]"brother"
thing makes me think of Austin Powers Goldmember.

Still it held up better when I rewatched it before No Time To Die. And it ended up leading into that movie very well. So I expect it to benefit again next time.

It's certainly better than Quantum of Solace which I don't even really think of as a full movie, but an extended (weaker) ending to Casino Royale.

It is like "who is imitating whom".
