Did Cars 3 get released here on UHD?
I can't find it anywhere.

Is this Disney Australia disappointing again?

Nope, no 4K for Australian market. Best option is to import from the US, because the UK didn't even get a release either.

Yep, industry standard for 4K discs is they don't get region locked

Disney discs these days are pretty much universally region-free, I can't think of any from the last 10 years or so that are locked.

Yep every release has been region free since the 2010 release of Beauty and the Beast. Except for the US distributed Ghibli titles.

Does anyone know if we are receiving a 3D Blu-ray release of ‘Coco’ here in Australia? All I can see is the 2D Blu-ray and 4K listed online.. It seems unusual as we have had 3D releases of all Disney and Pixar films, even when other countries have not.

May have to import as we were looking forward to seeing this one in 3D..

As far as I’m aware, no 3D, no steelbook for Coco over here

Not to mention Snow White. I looked at the cover and it said it was only encoded for regions B and C.

Can someone tell me if the portuguese audio for The Little Mermaid, Tarzan and Hercules is European or Brazilian?!

A word of warning re the Australian Lion King 4K release. Unlike the U.S. and U.K. versions, ours doesn't feature the Signature collection Blu-ray disc, instead the earlier Diamond Edition. So no new bonus features and the cloud glitch remains.

So while the above thankfully changed by the time LionKing 4K hit shelves, regrettably this has happened with next week's release of The Little Mermaid. 4K disc only and no Blu-ray as per the U.S. release, making a mockery of the 'anniversary edition' label emblazoned on the front. A very disappointing precedent and I've sent a very carefully worded to the studio today.

Are Disney still vaulting stuff?

I can’t find Blurays of Horton Hears a Who or Tangled 3D.

Horton Hears a Who isn’t Disney. Tangled 3D likely isn’t vaulted, but simply out of print. The Vault system isn’t actively practiced in Australia, most titles are readily available at any time.

Both can be found for less than $20 on ebay.

Little Mermaid is only the 4K disc here.

I try to avoid ebay. I had trouble hunting down an old bluray and bought it online. It ended up being a bad knockoff, dodgy home printing on the disc and cover.

Sadly eBay is rife with Disney knock-offs. Usually if it’s a hard-to-come-by title and it’s less than $20, it’s a knock-off. If it looks too good to be true, it usually is with Disney stuff.
