My copy showed up today and will probably get popped in on Friday. I watched M3GHAN today. Kinda like a high tech Chucky. Fun movie but not a great movie as it seemed to not know what it wanted to be. Beautiful looking Blu-ray with a decent 7.1 track.

Just got the Avatar 2 digital copy via iTunes. It's open matte 1.85:1 4K DV / Atmos. Looks and sounds great and will serve as a my placeholder until the 4K disc arrives. I will not be denied.

I hope they release the UHD of the first one at the same time. Otherwise I'll be worried that they'll never do it.

Just received my UHD BD version but have not watched yet. Not paying enough attention I ordered the steelbook version and it was was a pain to remove the disc from the case because the disc retainer does not have a release. So I printed a simple insert and placed the disc in a Viva Elite UHD BD case.

Also, there was no digital code supplied so I filled out the request at Paramount. One must supply a copy of their invoice and pictures of the case (front and back) which I did.

For those who appreciate a top notch audio track, All Quiet On the Western Front is supposed to be one of the best Atmos mixes to come out in some time. The review on this site as well as others are praising its immersive effectiveness. I have the 4K as well as Plane 4K showing up today.

This Movie is playing on Amazon Prime, and it's intense but very good. Lot's of dark scenes PQ and Sound are great. Highly recommended this Movie, a bit long but it goes by fast!

Watched Exorcist III 4K disc last night and the film has never looked or sounded better. I'm glad SF went back and fixed the 5.1/2.0 soundtracks.

So today I get a box from amazon.

Inside that box was another box and inside of that box another box and inside of that box this box set.

3 exterior boxes and shipped overnight. I'm so happy with the care they gave this item in shipping. Good job Amazon.

Underrated movie for sure. I think the second one made some people dismiss this movie before even giving it a chance.

Good Day

I listened to the lossless blu ray ATMOS version of Dark Side of the Moon. Highly recommended.

I'm so glad I decided to upgrade my audio kit this year. And the best thing about that is I can add more speakers now so going from 5.2.2 to 7.2.4 will be my next project.

Apple Music also has a nice version in ATMOS also. I think other music streaming services also have it.

Review of Avatar: The Way of Water via streaming here. His observations seems to match my and others in that iTunes and the ATV4K offers the best of streaming. For me, it has not been 100%, in a few cases MA and/or Vudu offered better data rates. The problem is this, it is a moving target meaning any comparison is subject to change.

Since we rarely watch a movie via streaming it is not a big deal for us. We do some TV, just finished Carnival Row S2 (Prime) and on Mandalorian S2E5.
