Hi Hugh,
Do you have any idea of when we should expect a lady vengeance/mr. vengeance release in the U.S.
Are we talking a solid date or only speculation of a future date. So basically, are we talking months or years?

Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,

Apologies to all concerned. I cannot even begin to convey the workload I've had since starting this job, and where it has led me - this is the first Xmas where I've worked through the bulk of the season since 2003 and 4 at ADV Films. I have been left with no choice but to curtail my personal activities here, as I simply don't have the time to manage online PR as well as all my other responsibilities.

Before I leave this thread, which the wonderfully helpful staff at Blu-ray.com will be locked until such time as it can be re-opened, information and enquiries can be made of the Palisades Tartan Facebook and Twitter feeds, as those are managed by staff other than myself, although occasionally it will be I replying therein, and directly to our PR firm, The Associates, who can be found at http://www.the-associates.co.uk/

Last comments before I go:
GGX: yeah, I'm sorry, that's what happens when you have eight weeks to put together a full set of releases from planning to release. We had five different pairs of eyes in three different countries on that packaging and it still slipped through. Apologies.

SolutionBubbleS, xradman: Everything depends on the original Korean licensor funding a new HD transfer. If they don't do that, then there's nothing more to work from for another edition - rendering the existing HD cam in 1080p isn't going to improve things, I'm afraid. Sorry, but that's the business reality - working with the materials the licensor creates is all one can do unless one is a big studio capable of spending their own big bucks for a new transfer from the original film materials. xradman, I know the US would love to sorted this out before releasing a Region A edition - we'll have to see how that works out for them.

Little Ick, Anthony Kwok: I am aware of the edition, but when Director Park introduced it at the Barbican on the opening night of the 2009 Korean Film Festival, he said "Please enjoy this version, as this is the only way you will be able to see this in the U.K." before leaving the stage. I don't know about you, but that worries me quite a bit! I'm hoping it was a mistranslation, and that he was talking about this being the only time to see it THEATRICALLY! At any rate, I look forward to working on the DC if and when it becomes available to us for the UK.

djesteban: By now you'll see my colleagues in the US have announced their Vengeance Trilogy blus, as I hinted at earlier in this thread. I hope you like 'em!

Everybody - it's been a pleasure. Thanks to everyone for their interest, their enthusiasm for the titles at hand, and the support we've received. I hope you guys like Thirst, out in a ten days - in the absence of Korean extras being ready in time for our release, I produced the UK-exclusive extras myself, which was intense, but a lot of fun, and I'd like to thank the translators, interviewers and cameramen in both events, the venues hosting in both, and the many people who made it possible for both to be filmed. Lastly, thanks to Director Park for being such a gracious interview subject.

I hope to be back here sometime in the future with new titles to announce, but until then, everyone, keep it Blu!
