you don't really need to spend money on these weight loss programs. I was 300 pounds, and now i weigh 198 pounds. All I did my first two weeks when I started working out was drink lots of water, and only salads, and hit the gym every day to do cardio and lifts weights. after that eat anything you want, but continue to work out. you develop a high metabolism, and you will continue to stay fit. but beware don't stop exercising because when the problems start to happen again.

just curious were you born overweight. because if so, so many who were born overweight tend to be skinny as they are growing up, and the opposite happens to if you are born skinny.

Mixing in 3 days of jogging into my routine.

The jog I went for yesterday wasn't bad. My wife's brother took me to a nearby park and we jogged along one of the trails that circles back to where we parked and we finished in about 25 minutes. He told me after that it's 1.9 miles for the trail.

I need to start buying whole grain bread. I ate half a bag of brocolli last night with a small portion of rice and meat.

I need more veggies lol. Going to the store on my way home to buy some.

I'm on the verge of hitting 170lbs. Before all this working out started 3 weks ago I weighed in at 176lbs.

How old are you? Serious question.
Most people's metabolism will slow down eventually, allowing them to gain weight easier, but there are those rare few who stay thin all through their life without trying too hard.
I was the same way up until my late 20's.

I was thin until about 26 then slowly gained weight. Last year I quit smoking in July and I went from 160lbs to 180lbs in about 3 months.

I was able to stay off smokes since then and now I'm focusing on getting back into shape.

My wife's brother is like that where he eats and eats and doesn't gain weight but he's only 22. He wants to bulk up a bit for basketball so I told him to take protien supplements and focus on weight training not cardio.

I was super thin until I hit 30. Could eat as much as I wanted of anything and not gain weight. Then it was like someone flipped a switch and the pounds started packing on. It's been hard to change my old eating habbits, but it's a work in progress.

I was always bigger and never attempted to lose weight because I was an offensive lineman in high school so I tried to stay big. When I would lose weight in high school it was for wrestling and done in a rather unhealthy fashion. My sophomore year I cut about 20 pounds in a month to wrestle 189. I wrestled heavyweight my junior year but my senior year I decided to wrestle 215 and had to cut about 25 pounds in 3 weeks. I did this but after 2 meets decided to go back to heavyweight because I had no energy.

Once I got to college I got pretty lazy and probably got up to around 270 my junior year. Once I hit that I dropped about 20 pounds and stayed around 250 for about 4 years, but over the last 6 months I've dropped about 30 pounds to get down to about 220. As I previously mentioned I'd like to get down to around 205 by the end of the summer, and 195 by the end of the year. I currently run about 3.5 miles every day and I have been eating pretty healthy. For breakfast I have a 100% whole wheat english muffin with an egg and turkey and a glass of V8 Splash lite. For a morning snack I have a can of low sodium V8 and a cup of FiberOne yogurt. For lunch I usually have a lean pocket, a salad with low fat dressing, and a 98% fat free hot dog. I usually have a FiberOne bar in the afternoon. For dinner I usually have a piece of chicken with rice and half a bag of vegetables. I also have been taking a multivitamin and put a fiber supplament in my drink 3 times a day.

I'm starting to cut out coffee from my diet. Today is the first day where I didn't drink any. I had half a cup yesterday but today I didn't feel the need for it so skipped.

Going to go for all week. I hardly drink soda. Maybe 1 or two a week. I tend to drink more iced tea. I'm going to 8 cups or water while at work. I drank a bottle of water on my way to work and 3 cups so far while at my desk.

No, I don't think so. I wasn't skinny though.

Coffee is a big weakness of mine, if you can call it a weakness. It hasn't been a factor in my health, so I continue to drink it for now. I really like the buzz I get from it, even though to this day I still truly don't enjoy the flavor of any coffee.

I drink it pretty much all day at work, with a healthy complement of water as well. By the time I get to the gym after work and crank out the workout, I feel pretty good — like I just purged my body of all the coffee that was in there. No coffee enters my body after I work out.

I swear, if a person could find a way to live off coffee and candy, I'd be all over that diet.

I think it just means that those who are trying to lose weight hate to hear people that cannot even gain weight.

I don't think it is personal.

My legs started to cramp up sitting here in my cube all day lol. I went to the handicap stall in the bathroom and stretched it out a bit and did a few jumping jacks to circulate the blood.
