Still I've noticed a huge difference. When I got them I couldn't even do the easiest set but now I'm doing the 14-10-6 set and can get through it without too much struggle. Probably look into going into the next hardest sets within the next couple weeks.
I want to get the Iron Gym next because I know I should mix in some pull ups too.

I also need to goto Big 5 this weekend and buy some heavier weights. I'm using the red resistance bands but got tired of it. I'm going to buy some 25lb and 15lb freeweights.

I still can't get through the whole P90x Plyometrics dvd. That thing kills me. I can do all of the Cardio X and Ab Ripper X, well, all of the exercises but not all the reps.

I made it through the ab ripper x without taking a break for the first time the other day. I still can't keep my legs strait though.

The Iron Gym rocks for pull ups and it doesn't require you to mount any hardward in your door frame either.

If you have the money and have a Costco membership they have a set of adjustable dumbells that go from 10 to 50 lbs similar to the bow flex weights, only they are like 300 dollars instead of 500 or 600. They are well worth the investment if you can afford them. They have made a huge difference over the resistance bands in my P90X workouts.

I was surprised at how expensive weights actually are. It seems like the majority of the cost comes from probably the shipping costs associated with getting it to a store.

Could be. I didn't think that 300 bones was that much considering that it is an investment in making one healthier.

I'm starting to try and balance out my breakfast. So today I'm having a hard boiled egg and a banana. I nd to go buy some bread though.

If only I didn't hate oatmeal. I know I should eat oatmeal though. So healthy.

The most important meal of the day. I usually have eggs and potatoes, or a protien shake with fruit in it, or oatmeal every once in a while, or pancakes with huckleberries for a treat every blue moon. I'm sure it's not the healthiest, but the Quaker instant has some flavors that are actually pallatable. Apples and Cinamon is good.

Well...Just finished week 1 on P90x. Day 7 is a rest day or optional stretch..so I went for a nice 3 mile walk with the pup. The program is impressive. The workouts are extremely you really work up a sweat and I've been sore all week. I got an Iron gym off ebay for $40 shipped with the straps and perfect push up thing so not too bad. I'd recommend it for anyone who needs an easy install push-up bar. It doesn't require any screwing into your walls.

I'm doing the classic version of P90x.
They're all challenging imo. Plyometrics really killed me lol. Kenpo is pretty awesome as well. The worst was Yoga...I've never done it and well...and hour and a half of that gets to you after a while. I'm also not very flexible and end up falling on my a!*. but I still managed to sweat like crazy so that's always good.

I've really been cutting down on eating. I miss food... but it will be worth it. I started @ about 234 and am down to 226.8 after my first week. So roughly 7-8 lbs...in one week. Averages out to around a pound per day. I've got no problem with that. It all has to do with what I put in my mouth. I haven't eaten any crap food.

Today I had..a little pineapple. And for lunch/dinner I ate a huge chef salad. So I skipped a meal? Yes and no but that's what you've got to do. The salad was loaded so I'm fine. Another key is to stop eating by 6. I only drink water. It's hard at first to resist to urge to get some doritos etc...but after a few days you get used to not eating as much and it's really not too bad.

Tomorrow I'm planning on having some steak for dinner(last night was Salmon). Nice little protein and veggies. Mix that up with some fruit for lunch and probably a bowl of cereal and blueberries in the am. I'm hoping I'll be 225ish when I wake up tomorrow ready to start the next cycle of P90x...if I keep @ it...I'll be 218 by the end of the week and so on..

My goal is definitely 200. I'd be fine there but I'd probably have no problem being 195.

Congrats dude! P90X is an a$$ kicker. I can almost keep up with the videos now. I have to step through towards the end of plyo, and can't do some of the more advanced yoga things yet, but it'll come.

I didn't end up losing much weight on the program, probably because it took 6months for me to get through it instead of 3 partially due to my work and part due to my lack of motivation. The weight in fat I did lose was replaced by muscle weight I think.

I've been hitting it harder the past couple of weeks so hopefully the results will start to show. I definitely have way more strength and endurance. I have one more day of Kenpo and I'll start the 2nd run through the program. This time it won't take me as long. I still have the work interferance, but my motivation is higher now. After this time I think I'll spring for the P90X plus discs for a little variety the next time through. That's down the road tho.

as said before me, Breakfest IS THE MOST IMPORTANT meal of the day.

It get's your Metbaolisim started for the day.

Eating atleast 6 times a day is key to losing weight

3 Meals ( B,L,D) and then 3 snacks inbetween/after the meals.

Make sure that bread is Whole wheat bread, and not white

Getting used to Oatmeal can take some time. Especially if you are used to the usuall sweet breakfest cereal.

when I switched to oatmeal, I didnt even switch to the regular, sugar filled kind, I went to the weight control brand of oatmeal. with some good flavors, and at only 1 gram of sugar a serveing, they actually started tasting really good after eating it constantly for months

Question for those on P90X, what items are needed for the program that aren't included? I assume some barbells, but what else? I've never seen the infomercial so I don't know what the program involves but it sounds like a lot of people are trying it so maybe I'll do it.

Ugh! Relatives were in town, ate at Red Lobster yesterday.. Now I'm feeling it. I bet even the water has a cube of butter infused in it.

I don't think the Yoga and rock climbing I did yesterday are nearly enough to offset the damage.

Place is a bit pricey for mid to low quality seafood.

Ya you really don't need large dumbbells. I've been using 5-15. Pull-up bars you can get on Ebay for a decent amount. Towel and water are recommended lol. Get a decent mat as well. P90x needs a lot of dedication. If you want results, you have to stay motivated and stay away from all the crap food. Especially breads and butter spreads..creme cheese etc.
Also check Ebay and Amazon.com for P90x. You can probably find the program for half the cost of going through the main website. I was lucky and got mine new for $70 off Amazon. Some people sell them for that price used on Ebay so do some shopping around. Why pay the $150 when you can get a better deal?

Ouch! Red Lobster. Ya the place is a bit pricey. I usually don't go there too much. I call it the McDonald's of seafood. You better burn that crap off...
