Default Netflix to raise prices once again

First they get rid of all the marvel shows and now this. RIP.

"Per a report from The AP, the most popular plan will jump from $11 a month to $13. The basic plan of $8 a month jumps to $9, and the premium plan, which offers 4K streaming on select titles, will go from $14 a month to a whopping $16 a dollar more than the cost of an HBO Now subscription."

RIP? It's still a huge bargain. Pretty much everything goes up over time, Netflix isn't immune to this.

I didn't mean the company would RIP, I mean I'm not that foolish.

Just in regards of moves they are making.

I boycotted Netflix for years after the 2011 screw-you-customers debacle. But I returned to the fold after cutting the cord, and now it's the one streaming service I don't want to be without. I'm on the standard HD plan, so I'm OK with an extra 2 bucks a month.

When does this price hike take effect? I just got charged the other day and I'm still being charged $10.99.

And why the greedy price hike? If it's were $1 like in the past, I really wouldn't care. But $2??

The pushing the prices now, because Bird Box is such a huge success in combination Disney+ starts end of the year. At the Moment Netflix is Nr. 1 and they make the prices. At the Moment Disney+ starts a huge Price Fight will start, so now they can make buffer till the fight starts and also show disney that higher Prices are Possible, so they maybe start with high prices close to netflix.

They'll likely give their tech people a raise so they can find ways to make their user interface and viewing experience even more annoying.
