Just ordered

"Outcast" with Nicholas Cage, the German edition which is the only one with 3D (was filmed in 3D so not an up-conversion). Region B. New

"Sea Rex". UK region B since it was less expensive. New

Spy Kids All The Time In The World. Used

All three through eBay with tax and shipping only for Spy Kids came up to $37.58

Saw the mixed reviews for Outcast but some really liked it but all agreed it had great effects. Watched the trailer and liked what I saw. Again, some complaints about it not being released in 3D other than in Germany.

Outcast is a conversion, and not a great one either.

I'm still waiting on Gemini Man, DHL failed to deliver and now an extra week has been added on to the delivery time, great.

Outcast is awful. I really tried to like it but there is so little to like.

Hi 13,

Even if a conversion, will this be the same as seen in theaters over seas? By not being converted, I meant by the Blu-ray company, not the production company. Am I wrong with this assumption?

I don't blame you Joe, I really wanted to enjoy it but eh, I'd struggle to even recite the story.

i agree...i do not want to debate if 3D is not good without pop-outs but to me personally, Pop-outs are a big selling point..and yeah fun..

I think it's a Chinese conversion, so it will be as seen in theaters in China. Better than an autoconversion for sure, and not entirely without merit, but leaves a lot to be desired.

Hi 13,

Though it might not be the best, at least it's a studio conversion and not one of those bluray auto conversions. I'll let ya know what I think of it.

Read where the premiere was delayed in China due to censorship

Hi ry,

I actually hadn't heard of Outcast before finding it listed on Amazon or eBay. Then made sure it was an original 3D release since it came out of Germany which is known for auto conversions.

I remember watching the trailer not too long ago, but I don't remember if at the time I knew it was 3d. Most movies I look into are though so probably. For the price it seems worth it with pretty decent reviews on Amazon.

It also sent me on a search of medi-something's 3d blu's on ebay to combine shipping. After an hour or two of checking them out and having most of them be auto-converts, I had to call it quits with the two in my cart. Good deal though imo.

Watched Sex and Zen last night.

This was actually quite an enjoyable film to watch. Definitely adult and errotic yet nothing like a hard core porn film with the story line just a vehicle for sexually explicit footage and humor. Sex and Zen is very clever and funny - a well done and intelligent production.

And the 3D is terrific. Plenty of depth and pop outs and I'll leave it at that. Only problem is at times there might not be enough times to finish reading the subtitles.

This movie might not be for everybody's taste. And the kiddies should definitely be safe in bed before the disc is inserted. So if that presents no problem, would highly recommend it. Don't go by the many negative reviews.
