I'm not big on SOV or post-90s stuff either but I own a bunch and have my eye on more. If I didn't keep up I'd have missed out on the Beast Creatures, Undead and Nightmares slips. Out Of Order is really good (though pricey) and I highly recommend Fair Game if your into 80s revenge...basically I find anything Australian whether from Umbrella or not, from the 80s is worth a watch.
and now back to TV talk...
There are 1 or 2 AGFA titles (The Ugandan double bill is one) that are SOV.

If they finagled a deal for those, they'd be the label of the year.

Those would be really good gets.

I'd be rather partial to expanding my Rocksploitation movie collection though. Stuff like:

Rocktober Blood - dealing with the owners on this one though, woof, especially after their botched blu-ray attempt/scam
Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park - considering most of them hate it, unlikely ever, but such good cheesy fun and Ace Frehley seems to love it
Black Roses - has a German release so there's hope!
Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare - it has Thor, need I say more
Terror on Tour - who doesn't want to rock out with The Clowns
Shock 'Em Dead - I have the Slasher release, but it'd be nice if proper elements for a HD release could be found, don't know if that's even possible

Hi Brad, are you familiar with Alexander Lo Rei?
He did some ninja movies (a few directed by Kuo-Ren Wu) and what can I say those movies are absolutely mad, filled with action and fights galore.
Escpecially Ninja Hunter (1984) is bonkers.
I'm not exaggerating. Those movies have non-stop action and are entertaining as hell.

I enjoy most of those but a lot of those are crazy expensive to license or some are just lost due to companies going out of business. I've went after a few and found material and rights but the amount they want to license is nuts.

That’s disappointing to hear. I love the Lo Rei stuff. I’ve seen the 14 hour cut of Ninja: The Final Duel that leaked a couple of years ago, but it’s only in Mandarin. Guess there’s no chance of anyone ever licensing that one for translation.

I wouldn't say there is no chance but some of these titles are a big risk. These wouldn't sell that well to make the license, restoration, and manufacturing back.

When owners are asking these high prices to license, do you think it's because they just don't understand the market or maybe are in debt and are trying to inspire a bidding war? Or they don't care to license at all so they just slap a big price on it. Seems so strange to me when people aren't interested...isnt it like free money and someone else (you guys) do all the work?

It's always a case-by-case basis but some are real head scratchers.

Thank you, sir! Ended up ordering Fridge, End of the Line, Captives and Cube. At this rate I might just end up doing a sub plan in the future...

I'd contribute to that Kickstarter/IndieGogo.
