It's strange as Fox went all out and included just about everything with their Alien set, yet they have been nothing but lazy with their Die Hard films, which is just as big of a franchise for them.

That also could have something to do with the producers of the disc. Charles (who did the Aliens boxed set) is pretty much the best there is. Not sure who did Die Hard.

Btw, don't forget Die Hard 4.1. You'd need that bonus disc as well.

I agree with IndyMLVC about this thread. I love the idea of it (and it's been attempted before), but the layout is rather nonspecific. Maybe the first post can be an alphabetic list of titles with links to individual posts, etc. with more details? I try to keep track of missing extras, so I'll come back when I've compiled a list.

David Prior only supervised the audio commentary recording sessions for Die Hard, Die Hard 2, and Die Hard wth a Vengeance. The remaining special features for the films were produced by different producer. And Germany will have the uncut version of Die Hard 4.0 (Live Free or Die Hard) with their release of the five disc set.

The Devil Wears Prada US/CAN only keeps the commentary, gag reel, and deleted scenes from the DVD. It does have a BD exclusive trivia track but the UK release is the same in terms of extras as the US/CAN DVD but doesn't have the trivia track.

The Transporter only keeps the commentary from the DVD and trailer while The Transporter 2 loses everything but the trailer.

Eight Below only retains one commentary from the DVD although a BD exclusive HD short film is included.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy US/CAN loses the featurette, sing-along, and set-top game. The UK Blu-ray loses the two commentaries, featurette, sing-along, and set-top game. -Special Note- The UK also had a two disc DVD release with a 68min documentary "Don't Crash: The Making of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."

What do you consider "epk features?"

Still galleries do nothing for me but any video features are important, imho.

That said, I don't see this thread going anywhere anyway. It's too generic to be of any assistance.

On various versions of the Mission Impossible 1, 2, and 3 DVDs, Paramount included clips that were shown at awards ceremonies celebrating Tom Cruise's career. The montage footage (Excellence in Film and Generation: Cruise) are on the Blu-rays, but the Blu-rays don't have additional footage that explain why the montages were created in the first place. The first one was for when Cruise won the Stanley Kubrick Award from the British Film Academy, and the second one was for when Cruise won the Generation Award at the MTV Movie Awards.

Not me. Any EPK for a film that's over 15 years old is generally worthless...nothing but the actors fawning over the director, the director fawning over the actors, and the producers talking about how awesome the film is, with little of the actual nuts & bolts of filmmaking on display. And still galleries are too labor-intensive and hard on the eyes (especially text). If those are the only things left off an otherwise-comprehensive Blu-Ray, then I feel completely satisfied in selling off the DVD.

I think mentioning missing Bonus Features might be better off left to the reviews or the threads dedicated to each title. A lot of Bonus Features didn't get carried over, and this may be too big of a project for one person to handle.
