Goodfellas or The Departed??? - Blu-ray Forum

Which one should i get. I love both very much but at this moment i could only afford one.

Goodfellas isn't a very good blu-ray. Lossy audio, mediocre video. It's a better film IMO, but if you've seen both, then I'm sure you already know where your preference lies.

Both are great movies...get both when you can but for now I would go with the Departed.

That should be a crime! Goodfellas without a doubt is one of the best movies ever, but the audio and picture quality of the blu are horrible.

GoodFellas is the better movie, The Departed is the better Blu-Ray. I love both films, but GoodFellas is one of the greatest movies of all-time so I'd choose it in spite of its' inferior picture and sound quality.

Goodfellas IS a better movie but if you prefer Qaulity PQ/AQ go with the Departed, Killer audio on the Departed.

someone at WB should be shot for re-releasing Goodfellas in the digibook with lossy DD 5.1 audio. the first DD 5.1 release was inexcusable. the second re-release? beyond disgusting.

No question Goodfellas. I like the Departed a great deal but Goodfellas is the winner hands down.

I thought Goodfellas looked great on BD, probably the best it will ever look... but to answer your post id get both but if you can only afford one at this moment go with Goodfellas
