The teaser trailer for the 1998 film is better than both.

Godzilla '14.

The other is an abomination, an embarrassment, and slap in the face to G-fans.

While the 2014 one was technically a better movie, I find the 1998 one to be more fun to enjoy & was a bit less boring too.

G14 is a better "film" than G98, but I'll be damned if I don't have more fun and a good time with the 1998 film than I do 2014...

Picked up Godzilla '98 UHD at release for a very low price and I still think I overpaid. It was just as bad as I remember if not worse. I think about selling it every time I see it on my shelf.

Godzilla '14 wins by default. It did underwhelm me when I first saw it, and I still think think the human characters are incredibly boring after
[Show spoiler]Cranston is killed off
, but the UHD totally turned me around on the look of the film. And it of course sounds incredible. Sets up the super entertaining KotM very nicely too.

1998 Godzilla

The first hour of the 2014 version, it's slow and useless.

2014 easily. The 1998 iguana that lays eggs, and runs from the military, is not Godzilla.

Even if it wasn't called Godzilla, it would still be a terrible movie. That was just the cherry on top of the shit sundae.

Rich from RLM points it out perfectly @ 16:38.
