Don't forget about Zodiac and Panic Room. Zodiac's video at the very least is reference quality, and Panic Room has yet to be released but could be if 'restored' properly. But I agree, Fight Club from what I understand is meant to have a grainy non 'super sharp' image.

I was going to bring Zodiac up; that movie looks fantastic on Blu-ray. Hopefully we'll get the best Fight Club can look; if so, I'll pick it up pretty quick.

Looks like all the extras from the original DVD are there. I kinda wish they did a new retrospective documentary or commentary given it's been 10 years, but maybe we'll get that on the 8K version in 2019.

The same features are on the german FOX/Kinowelt Blu Ray. Looks more and more like the same. Maybe the PQ is supposed to be so gritty it is a gritty movie maybe they wanted the PQ to fit with the style of the movie

Not sure why Sony is dragging their feet on Panic Room. I'm a fan and the 3 Disc DVD set is a must..

This thread has nothing to do with Panic Room or Zodiac it is about Fight Club. OK

Cool FIGHT CLUB 2: Fight Clubber

This is a sure-fire purchase for me. I certainly hope the Blu keeps the gritty stylised look with the heavy grain, like the 2-Disc DVD I own, or i'll be very disappointed. I just wish this would have an isolated score. Kick arseness about the DTS Master Audio.
Yep, hopefully zero DNR/EE for the film which it meets Davids approval.
I do own ALIEN3 (I prefer the Special Assembly Cut), SE7EN (New Line Platinum Series), PANIC ROOM (Superbit single disc, would be willing to get the 3-Disc) all on DVD. Of course I'd purchase The Curious Case of Benjamin Button on Blu-ray deesc format.
I hope this won't be released in a standard Blu-ray case. I quite like the Digipak for the 2-Disc and was even going to buy the Steelbook. Hey, I'd even purchase the Steelbook Blu-ray if there ever were one. The DVD even had a very nice booklet. One of my favourite DVD package designs and even the disc label art is great.
DAMN RIGHT! (And cheesy title inspired by DIE HARD 2. I still want to see Choke and hoping Survivor gets filmed.)

It does as we where discussing the directors style, and what that may mean for what the transfer will look like. David Fincher directed Fight Club, Panic Room, Zodiac etc. Discussing Zodiac may be somewhat of topic due to how it was filmed, but Panic Room isn't to far of base (if at all).

Just goofing off. Maybe it should've been FIGHT CLUB 2: Club Fighter? I dunno.
This Fall is going to attract more moths to my wallet compared to usual!

Please don't give the studio any ideas because the secound one will not be as good as the first and they will delay the movie untill the secound one comes out.

Remember that we are talking about Fox Blu-Rays here. Just be grateful that it has any of the original special features!

Really? Does the Kinowelt release contain bonus features like A Hit in the Ear: Ren Klyce and the Sound Design of Fight Club, Welcome to Fight Club, Angel Faces Beating, The Crash, Tyler's Goodbye, an Insomniac Mode viewing option, Guys Choice Award?? Coz the feaures I listed are all-new AFAIK (especially the insomniac viewing mode, which is supposed to be a PiP feature, i guess?), never found on any previous dvds.

On the new release info, it lists INSOMNIAC MODE. I don't remember this from the original release. Was it there? Anyone have a guess as to what it is?

I hope the presence of all these extra features and bonus mode does not impact the video bitrates. This is a film that needs every bit possible for the dark and murky look. Most of it will not be eye candy for HD. I really wish these extras were all moved to a bonus disc.

Maybe it'll be a 2-Disc? I'm waiting for an official announcement.
