Improved OLED and LCD.

You can cross MicroLED off the list. Too expensive for general consumer use. Will never reach mass market appeal due to it's high price. Will remain a commercial and high end luxury item.

2 or 3 years is my best guess. By that time there will be newer improvements to OLED like increasing brightness and improved color. What is premium today should be mass market available in that time frame.

What is the best way to get an extreme discount for these kind of TVs? because 1,000 and beyond is extremely pricey and I have no way of saving up for it as much as I’d like to.

Right before the new sets become available which is in the 2nd quarter of the year (April - June) manufacturers will heavily discount their older models to get them out of inventory. That's the best time to buy.

I want to preface this by saying that I mean absolutely no disrespect, and I mean this to be polite, friendly observation and advice.

I don't know what your financial situation/income is, and that is frankly none of my business. Not everyone can afford a really expensive TV, and that is perfectly understandable. Honestly I'll probably never again spend the kind of money that I did the last time I majorly upgraded.

Having said that, for several years now, I've seen you posting inquiries about TVs, typically referencing a budget that tops out at about $500. I don't know if in that time you ever actually bought a new TV or are still using a much older one.

But if you haven't upgraded in that time, and a few years ago you would have been able to afford $500 for a TV, and you are still around here buying more movies and talking about buying a TV, then you are still bringing in at least enough that allows you to spend at least some portion of it recreationally.

Meaning that if you haven't upgraded in a really long time, and you hung into that $500 budget you had previously and then just slowly added to it gradually (maybe take a small amount of cash here and there gradually and put it in an envelope), you would likely be in a position now where you could afford to spend over $1,000 on a relatively nice TV.

Don't get me wrong... work within your means and get the best deal you can. Wait for a good sale. Wait for the newest technology to come along and buy the thing that just preceded it at a discount. Get the most bang for your buck.

But I suspect that the problem is (and I could be wrong, but it is what I suspect) each time something newer and better comes along, while at that time you could get the slightly older technology at a price more fitting to you, you are now focused on that newest tech and wanting that at a discount. So you are in this perpetual holding pattern where you always want the latest thing at a lower price, but if you wait for that price to go lower, by the time that happens, something better and pricier will be out and your attention shifts to that and wishing for it to be cheaper.

By no means am I suggesting that you put necessities aside for something like this. But if having something newer and better TV-wise than what you have now is important to you, then you likely could take steps to gradually increase that budget to some extent. And you can wait for a good deal on whatever you intend to buy... but you may have to accept that at the time you are getting a good deal on technology that you set your sights on, newer tech may already be out that you will need to try and not worry about, and just focus on getting something that you can enjoy within your means. Then in a few years, maybe do it all again if you want to upgrade again.

But if you are always waiting for technology that costs well over $1,000 to come down to $500, while still continuing to be the the newest, most state-of-the-art thing on the market, then there will never be a scenario where you are able to get what you want. And even if you were to buy something while it is the latest tech on the market, it won't be long before something better comes along anyway. At some point you have to compromise on some level if you ever want to actually buy a new TV and enjoy it.
